Product Description

Amazon.com

This platform massager offers relaxation for tired, achy feet and therapeutic help for injured or swollen feet via a combination of hot and cold treatments. It also aims to relieve other ailments through the ancient art of reflexology, which focuses on different pressure points in the feet to ease discomfort in other areas of the body. The Regenesis has a comfortable plastic footbed with raised pads that deliver the massage at one of two different intensity levels--both of which are fairly vigorous. Rounded acupressure pads in the center of each footbed let you target specific areas of the foot that correspond to other bodily discomforts, such as sinus inflammation, sciatic nerve pain, or thyroid irregularities. The acupressure surface warms up to over 110 degrees F so you can add heat to the massage to soothe sore muscles and increase circulation in the feet. A cold chip in the center cools feet down to either 43 degrees or 52 degrees F for reducing swelling and is more convenient than a messy ice pack. Rubber suction-cup feet keep the unit from slipping during the vibrating massage and a convenient built-in handle makes the massager easy to move from room to room. The Regenesis’s legs extend so the massage platform can be raised up for shorter legs or hang on the back of an office chair to double as a back massager. This portable massage spa has large, easy-to-use controls and a wraparound power cord for easy storage. This massager is a perfect gift for people who stand all day at work or athletes who have frequent sports injuries. It is covered by a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

3.0 out of 5 stars Foot massager or foot vibrator?, July 17, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Hot/Cold Foot/Back Massager (Health and Beauty)
I bought this massager as a gift for a friend who claimed he liked it but I think he was just being nice. I however was a little dissapointed. The platform is made of a hard plastic and not a soft rubber as I expected. You should keep your socks on when using it. As far as a 'massaging' experience, there really isn't one. Its just a two speed platform vibrator which I admit, does ripple vigorously through your feet at either speed. The hot and cold features worked well but were not a selling point for me anyway. I gave it 3 stars because it lacked the soft rubber platform and because it doesn't massage your feet but rather vibrates them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for feet, not for back, October 17, 2005

This review is from: Hot/Cold Foot/Back Massager (Health and Beauty)
This product works well to soothe and relax my feet but when used against my back I end up pushing buttons and changing the settings without meaning to. I haven't found a better product for my feet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall good, but..., September 20, 2005
This review is from: Hot/Cold Foot/Back Massager (Health and Beauty)
Overall, it is a good massager, and cooling unit is very effective.

However, two problems I have with it...

First, the foot pads are too close for those of us with big legs :-)

Also, if using as a back massager, the location of the buttons are such that it is VERY easy to accidentally switch the unit off when leaning back.

These issues aside, I am happy with the unit.
