The costume is simple, cute and easy to put on, but time will tell how durable (longer than one season?) it is and how well the velcro closures wear. The dog doesn't seem to mind wearing it and she'll look precious as my daughter's sidekick (the hotdog vendor...) on Halloween.

FYI: Our daushound mix (approx. 15" long and about 13 pounds) can wear it, but it's snug. I'm wondering if a large size would have been better? The velcro closes, but it's on the very end of the closure.

Product is poorly made. One of the straps that hold the costume on was frayed upon opening the package. It lasted about five minutes on the dog before it tore completely. It can't be repaired by sewing because the type of stitch used on the strap just unravels. It is a cute costume, but I expect a product to at least be functional when first taken out of the package.

I don't even know where to begin with this....okay well for starters may the fact that the "costume" costs $8.00 should've been a huge sign that it probably wasn't the best product....but it was already torn when I opened the package. The velcro had torn apart....then when I put it on my dog the rest of the strings just all started coming out of the costume. After it fell apart and fell off of him it then went in the trash. Biggest waste of money ever.

The costumes were absolutely adorable (bought 2-a ketchup and a mustard one) but there was a slight problem. The velcro was poorly attached and coming apart and I had to stitch each piece of velcro to make costume more durable.

This is a very cute idea, to bad my little hot dog doggies just hated it.

I absolutely loved this costume for our Rat Terrier. It didn't have any annoying hats or parts that were uncomfortable for her. She didn't even notice it was on after a few minutes she was taking a nap in it and playing like she didn't have anything on. The only issue I had with this purchase was that we ordered a mustard costume and recieved a Ketchup. I wrote emails in to get the issue resolved, but I never heard back.

Wrong costume was sent originally so we missed the Halloween contest which was disappointing. But they sent a replacement and let me keep the original one as well so I can't complain. The costume itself is a hoot... especially on my long-haired dachshund, who looks exactly like the picture. I have a second dachshund that will wear the ketchup version of this costume. Basically the same with a red squiggle down the back. I've added 'relish'(bits of green felt) and 'onions'(chopped up plastic container) to make them look more authentic. We'll kill at next year's Halloween contest!

Bought this costume for my italian greyhound, who did not find it amusing. I thought it was cute, but must admit that next time I will buy something warmer for him to wear in October.

This costume fit perfect for my little chihuahua/beagle/wiener dog mix. And he loved wearing it, surprisingly! He looked like the perfect hotdog! Delicious!

When the brand new Hot Diggity Dog Costume I ordered for my dachshund arrived in the mail, I took it out of the box and was disappointed to find the costume to be poorly constructed and falling apart. One of the elastic staps for holding the costume in place was not even attached to the costume, and the other strap was literally hanging on by a thread. The costume did arrive sooner than expected, but don't order this costume for your dog unless you plan to spend some time sewing and repairing this poorly crafted item.
