Product Description

The characters in the Tea Series are people you'd like to know and part of a family that welcomes you with open arms.  More than 80,000 copies of the books in this series have been sold.  You will find that each book in the series is a fast and fun read.  Each installment is a hybrid of the traditional novel and the serial novel (each is a full-length novel and leads directly into the next installment.)

In Hot Tea, Cara O'Flynn finds herself in an unusual position.  She's quit her job and can afford to take a few weeks to find a new career.  Plus, her roommate has run off and left her with an empty room to fill.  If she can just accomplish those two tasks before her mother finds out she has no income and no one to help pay the bills, she's in good shape.

The problem - Cara didn't plan for three careers in as many days nor did she anticipate the new guys that dropped in her lap.  And then there's her sister Teagan, always helpful and funny, she can be a bit annoying at times.

When you're Irish, all things (good and bad) come in threes.  It's inevitable.  Cara should have remembered not to forget that part.

Cara and Teagan bring laughter, intelligence and family tradition to every experience they encounter.

Hot Tea is the first book in The Tea Series.  It is approximately 64,500 words and is now professionally edited and formatted.

I enjoyed this very much. I have already purchased the 2nd and 3rd. I have only read the first installment. A mystery has been outlined, but not solved. Longer than a short story, maybe more of a novella with a definite "to be continued....." feeling. Though not, thankfully, a cliffhanger. The observations and family relations of the main character make this fun.

An Excellent Read January 9, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is about two sisters, Cara and Teagan. They are part of a large Irish family of eight children, and while we hear about the other siblings the story revolves around these two.

Cara has quit her job and is trying to find a new career. The story starts with her deciding to solve a murder to collect the reward money and goes through a series of decisions that are a little bit zany. The internal dialogue of Cara had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face. Maybe that says I am a little zany as well :).

I have also just finished reading Hot Tea (The Tea Series) and immediately upon finishing bought the third in the series Iced Tea (Tea Series). I am really enjoying this series and look forward to more of Cara and Teagan.

Disappointing April 12, 2011

Would have appreciated knowing that you have to buy ALL of the books in order to get the full story (I'm guessing it will eventually get to the conclusion, though the next book isn't out yet and who knows how many you'll have to buy in order to get to the end). I think it is a very sleazy tactic to require readers to buy more books just to see how the story ends. Should have been better edited, too. Too many typos and bad spelling. Characters ALMOST interesting, but fall way short and the plot is not at all convincing. It only cost $0.99 per book, but it isn't worth it.

The series grows on you.
The series does grow with each book. The characters develop more with each book and I am glad I stayed with the series and did not stop after reading the first book. Read more

Hot Tea
I loved this book. It made me laugh out loud. The modern vernacular made it an easy read. The sisters in the book had such a great relationship, I want a sister just like them.

Ok, I guess
Punny. Cute. Cozy. But mysteries left unsolved in anyway by the end of a book? Not for me. Part of me is curious and feels I need to buy the next to find out, but with thousands... Read more

slow going, no plot, does the author have body issues?
As other reviewers have said it is fairly far into the novel before the murder is even mentioned. The first 20 % is all character development. Read more

Disappointed
I thought I was buying a mystery book. More than 1/4 of the way into the story, there have been maybe 3 paragraphs that refer to an actual murder. Read more

Boring.
I just cannot get interested in this book. I do not enjoy the dialogue between the characters, and it is just taking way too long to get down to the plot. Read more
