Dianne Castell writes sexy, funny, INTERESTING stories about women who you would love to be friends with and men you would be tempted to seduce away from them. This book and it's predecessor, "Hot and Bothered", are set in Savannah. The city is so charmingly captured that I want to visit now!
But it is the heroine, Bebe, and the hero, Donovan, who will make you love this book. She is a smart and sassy, Southern girl, not Southern Belle, and he is a gruff but soft-hearted, Northern boy. Add in a decades old mystery, intriguing sub-plots, romance and sex, friendship and feuds and the result is a read that you won't want to put down.
Ms. Castell knows her way around believable dialogue, descriptive backgrounds and real people. Add some very hot seductions and you won't be able to put this book down! I can't wait until her next book! More set in Savannah, I hope!

Bebe Fitzpatrick is sassy, funny and a tough cop. She's this spitfire who has terrible taste in clothes, will run her mouth at the unlikeliest of times, and has no idea how sexy she truly is. In comes Donovan McCabe, tall, dark and handsome - looking to arrest a local do-gooder, but little did he know what was in store for him. He definitely wasn't expecting to find himself partnered with Bebe whose sexiness alone can drive him to distraction. But soon they find that it is up to them to get their heads out of thoughts of each other and into the game - in order to uncover the truths behind several mysteries: an unsolved murder, a missing diamond necklace, and some illegal gambling.

This was a quick read. With plenty of mystery and danger surrounding our main characters - and throw in some spicy love scenes and you are in for the long haul. Although I thought Bebe and Donovan's relationship was moving along very quickly, I thought they were a very likeable couple. Their conversations were fun and witty. I liked that Ms. Castell did not overpower the story with either the action/adventure or the romance. It had a perfect balance of both which I thought made the story flow easily. This is a fast-paced story with plenty of action and flirty romance to keep you interested. If you like mysteries, and/or action-packed romances, you definitely should pick this one up.

Savannah police detective Bebe Fitzpatrick is a good cop mostly because of her street smarts she learned in her rough childhood. However, Bebe is unhappy when her boss teams her up with Boston cop Donovan McCabe in town investigating a local hero, Ray Cleveland who owns a restaurant on Thunderbolt Island where she likes to eat. Bebe and Donovan are attracted to each other inside the bedroom but detractors on the case as they disagree about Mr. Cleveland running things besides food.

Bebe also gets involved with a three decade old cold case murder and issues about who her parents are. However, the worst problem facing Bebe is that damn Yankee invader she baby-sits for as she wants him to do more than just diaper him at a time when their inquiry leads to more murders and attempts on their lives.

More a romance between a couple fighting the War of Northern Aggression in her mind while in his is babysitting is great. There is an excellent supporting police procedural subplot. The story line is fun as the banter between the "sitter and the baby" is humorous as she is aggressive and angry and he is amused. However, readers who prefer taut suspense throughout their tales should pass as HOT AND BOTHERED is predominantly a romance between two cops whose investigation serves as a matchmaker of sorts.

I really enjoyed the lead character, Bebe Fitzgerald. She is a smart and strong detective who stands up for who and what she knows as the truth. Donovan McCabe was a sexy and romantic detective, just what you would like all men to be like. Together, Bebe and Donovan were quite passionate for each other as well as finding out the truth. The surprise came at the end of the book when you find out who-done-it. It was a really fun read that only took me 2 days to finish.

Sultry, steamy Savannah is the backdrop of Dianne Castell's most recent release, HOT AND IRRESISTIBLE, guaranteeing a superbly heated tale. Mix in some hauntings, four best friends and an irresistible cop and the ingredients are just right for a spicy romance.
When Boston cop Donovan McCabe goes to Savannah to investigate the questionable business practices of the hugely successful Ray Cleveland, he does so under the weight of emotional baggage remaining after his partner was killed. He's hoping that the change of scenery will clear his head. He finds himself more confused than ever when he's partnered with Savannah cop Bebe Fitzpatrick, not so much because of the partnership, but because of the feelings she stirs in him. It isn't long before Donovan wonders if he'll survive this investigation with his heart intact.
Bebe, like most everyone in Savannah, doesn't appreciate Donovan's suspicions and accusations about local hero Ray Cleveland. Unlike everyone else, Bebe finds herself undeniably attracted to Donovan. They soon discover the mystery they're investigating runs much deeper and has been in place for much longer than they originally thought.
Dianne Castell has successfully thought of everything in telling Bebe and Donovan's story - mystery, suspense and steamy romance. Bebe is an original character, not your typical heroine. Donovan is blatantly male and while he oozes self-confidence and self-assuredness, he's not egotistical or arrogant. His attraction to Bebe knocks him completely off-guard and makes him that much more adorable. I recommend HOT AND IRRESISTIBLE to all romance readers.

Hot and Irresistible is the perfect cold weather read to make you sizzle all over!

Following Dianne's first book in the series, Hot and Bothered, Hot and Irresistible continues the story of four orphaned friends who have learned to trust and depend on each other, no matter the situation.

Bebe Fitzgerald, southern girl and no nonsense cop from her sensible shoes to her work ethics meets her match in Boston cop Donovan McCabe when he comes to Savannah to investigate local businessman, Ray Cleveland.

Not only do the two butt heads over the investigation, but against their instant attraction to each other. As if this wasn't enough to keep the reader glued to their seat, throw in a decade old mystery from the local morgue plus a few ghosts and you have a fun and fascinating read you won't be able to put down.

Full of mystery, surprises and southern charm, not to mention sexy scenes, Hot and Irresistible is a fascinating mixture of everything I love in a good book.

Dianne Castell has outdone herself with this series! Way to go Dianne!

Dianne Castell's Hot and Irresistible is a perfect choice if you're looking for a smart and sassy heroine, a sexy man from out of town, an old and charming southern town with more than a few secrets and sex.

I enjoyed the character of Bebe - - everything from her no-nonsense Hush Puppies shoes to her three beloved cats (yes, serious animal lover here) to her fierce, take-no-prisoners attitude. The attraction between her and new Boston cop Donovan is textbook, sure, but the sparks and electricity between these two literally jump off the page.

But don't think this book is simply a sexy romance. It is, but it's also a "whodunit" as well as a nicely nuanced 30 year old mystery with ghosts and plenty of secrets. Are you interested yet?

I initially chose this book due to the Savannah, Georgia locale. Being from Georgia, I am always interested in books that take place in my home state. Ms. Castell did the lovely old city justice, from her descriptions of the ivy-covered architecture to the social calls to the "ya'll"s and "you hear"s. Savannah is every bit a character in this book as the handful of locals we are introduced to.

While I found this book to be a bit of a slow starter, it got hot quickly and picked up pace from there. Hot and Irresistible is the second book in a series but I found that you don't have to read the first one in order to appreciate this one. Hot and Irresistible will leave you hot and bothered and pining for a Mason jar of sweet tea on a shady porch. If you like your books brimming with mystery and whole lot of descriptive romance, give this book a try. You won't be disappointed!

Donovan McCabe is trying to figure out his life after his partner is killed in the line of duty. He thinks this assignment in Savannah will help him sort things out. He is assigned to investigate illegal goings on with local entrepreneur Ray Cleveland. Donovan's first meeting with cop Bebe Fitzgerald has him thinking of hot sultry nights not police procedures.

Donovan and Bebe don't see eye to eye on his investigation of Mr. Cleveland. But that doesn't stop them from keeping their hands off each other. As their attraction grows will their relationship survive the mystery unfolding around them at the former morgue?

Hot And Irresistible is another delightful, funny and sexy story by Dianne Castell. I can always depend on a great read, filled with hot and spicy chemistry splashed with a wicked sense of humor. I highly recommend any book by this author.

Boy was this book one Hot and Irresistible book that I did not want to put down!! This is one of those books you need a fan nearby because it is fabulously HOT, HOT, HOT and have you guessing "whodunnit". Ever have one of those hot dreams when you're somewhere and this random HAWT HAWT man bumps into you, electricity is flying and you start passionately locking lips?! Oh yeah...that dream...Relive it AND help solve a mystery with Castell's book Hot and Irresistible. I am DEFINITELY going to seek out Hot and Bothered by her now.

HOT AND IRRESISTIBLE certainly lives up to its name. The chemistry between Donovan and Bebe scorches the pages. The romance is more than enough to keep you hooked into this book, but the action makes this second installment of the series hard to put down. Another sizzling read from Dianne Castell.
