Despite its slim size (61pages) this book walks you step by step into developing a pair of lean, lovely legs. It includes a number of black and white photos featuring fitness stars such as Christine Lydon, Amy Fadhli, Marjo Selin, Dale Tomita and others. The book explains in detail how to create shapely legs with the right type of training. It describes the exercises that should be done and gives photos of many. It also includes training routines. Its divided into 6 sections which cover legs in general, the thighs, the hamstrings, the calfs, cardio/aerobic connection, and total leg training. The book pulls together a lot of information to help you organize your training to achieve the type of legs you want. The only drawback to the book is the writing style is very basic. For example the book opens with the following "Legs-like them or not you have a pair. Your legs are essential for getting you where you want to go." Once you get past this elementary writing the actual information given is excellent.

Hot Legs,
By Margaret E. McGrath (Brockton, MA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hot Legs: Shaping a Tight & Trim Lower Body (Paperback)
This book will certainly disappoint if you're hoping to learn something new. The first 15 pages talk about the importance of weight training and cardio/aerobic exercise over and over and over. The workouts are not at all the challenge you would expect if you want "Hot Legs". What this book offered was a repeat of the same information you get in all the fitness magazines. Nothing new, creative or challenging. I finished it so quickly I could send it back in tomorrow's mail and I just received it today. What a disappointment. Don't waste your money.

Not Impressed!,
This review is from: Hot Legs: Shaping a Tight & Trim Lower Body (Paperback)
I did not find this book to be very helpful at all. Although it did explain the exercises, I would have also liked it to include a picture of each movement as well.

What a nice, concise guide to shaping up the legs. Logical sequence and good exercises are given throughout the book.
