I like this but it is vastly different from the usual type of blues. This is soulful blues. There is not so much a focus on the guitar but rather on the soulful stylings of Ms. Lynne. The songs are all good and on the opener, her son does a rap on top of the tune that works pretty well.
Most blues fans will not accept this as true blues. This is like classic Stax/volt songs, amped up a bit with more guitars. All the songs are good. I recommend it for anybody looking for something a bit different.

This is a riveting album that you can enjoy a lot. If you like blues you can't miss it!. She's a good blues singer and on this album you can understand why.
