Sizzling Hot Book Reviews 5 STARS

"Great sexual chemistry, an intriguing plot line, and suspense that will leave you nail-less, made Hot Ride a ridiculously awesome read in my honest opinion...Hot Ride was a non-stop, heart pounding action-packed adventure, with some seriously through the roof sex scenes thrown in that will make you swoon and drool. I absolutely recommend Hot Ride; it's everything fans of romantic suspenses would want ... and so much more."

Book Description

As a DEA agent, Sera’s sole focus—and her first undercover assignment—is to take down a drug cartel that’s manufacturing seductive, deadly angel sugar. To do it, she must pose as a couple with another agent who’s already deep undercover in a motorcycle gang.
The last thing Ryan wants is a rookie agent jeopardizing his op. Especially one who is a sexy reminder why it’s a bad idea to get involved while on a case. As the mission comes to a head, so does their sexual tension. Until they face their worst fear. Losing their quarry…or losing each other.

Hot Ride has all the elements I thoroughly enjoy in a romantic suspense. Thrilling action, suspense, sexual tension, well written sex scenes, consistent good pace throughout the book and snappy dialogue. What's a great suspense without a swoon-worthy, flawed hero and a strong, kick-ass heroine? Hot Ride has both, as the main characters are well written and fleshed out as three dimensional characters. You can't help but cheer for this couple, even when the heroine kicks the hero's ass---one of my favorite scenes in the book. You also have the added bonus of watching their relationship grow at a realistic and good pace.

The danger and suspense come in the form of sex and drugs and abuse, and where a lot of books show the bad guys (villains) as one dimensional and all bad; the villains in Hot Ride are well developed so that the reader is privy to both the negative and positive aspects of their personalities. I don't want to give away any spoilers but once you read the book, you'll understand how well the author was able to flesh out the villains and at times have the reader sympathize with a few of them.

Hot Ride is filled with a lot of emotion, some humor, and written in a non-stereotypical way which is what I really loved about the book. Hot Ride is an edge of your seat thriller with steamy scenes that will keep you turning the pages from beginning to end, and then having you wish it wasn't over.

This was a great story! I think the author did a wonderful job of blending a hot, sexy romance with an action story about 2 undercover Federal agents trying to bust a MC that breaks a lot of laws (drugs, guns, murder, etc...). I loved both the action and romance plot lines of this story.

Sera is coming in to an undercover Op that Ryan is a part of. His agency needs a female agent to go undercover but they have none available. Her agency has a lead on a drug lab that's tied in to Ryan's case so Sera is brought in. I really liked Sera. She's closed in and doesn't rely on anyone at first but we find out the reasons for it later. She is very smart and can take care of herself. Unfortunately in her line of work she's always having to prove herself and the same holds true with Ryan (at least at first).

Ryan is a great hero. He's one of the rare guys that is able to treat his woman as an equal. OK, he was a little Alpha at first but has Sera starts to prove herself he treats her more and more like a true partner. It's hard for him though because he's attracted to her and has the urge to protect her.

Both Sera and Ryan feel a strong attraction to each other from the very beginning which translates in to some hot and sexy romance. The emotions that build between Sera and Ryan as they worked together and tried (with no success) to fight their attraction to each other were well done and believable to me. There were times (esp at the end) where I actually teared up (sometimes happy tears, sometime not). The undercover agent story line is very well done and I liked the complexity without it being boring. This story kept me well engaged and I read it very quickly. The few times I stopped to do something else I fond myself thinking about the story and wondering how it would progress.

I loved Sera and Ryan's shared experience and the reason why he had to return. This was a great action/romance story. I'd recommend it. 2 thumbs up. :D

I wanted to like this story. The premise was good, and the hero could've been engaging. But the heroine of this story made me want to slap her. This level of neurotic made me grind my teeth and he came off wimpy when he should have been alpha. Not worth the price

It was an OK read, nothing really stands out about the story or characters. I would try the author again in the future.

This was an okay read where the main characters have to balance their true identities vs their undercover roles. Eventually these lines become blurred and the story winds up in a good place. Just not sure it was worth the time to get there.

Hot Ride is my first book written by Kelly Jamieson, and even though I had some problems with this book, let me tell you that it won't be the last story I read by this author! The level of hotness, was simply so high that I can't possibly pass the chance of seeing what other this author can manage.

But let's talk about Hot Ride. Have you read that premise? Seriously, the premise alone made me drool all over the place! It's not a secret that I have a thing for agents, FBI, CIA, you name it, I don't care! I love agents and if they are undercover and they fall in love while being undercover on a mission ,then all the better for me! So, as you can guess, the story of Hot Ride was right up my alley, and something I was pretty certain that I would enjoy. And although I can't just say that I didn't enjoy this book, I had some major problems with it, or rather with the execution of the story, that I'm afraid reflect in my final rating of this book.

My main problem with this book was that it was flat. Even if the story was something I could highly enjoy, it still felt flat. I couldn't really connect with either of the main heroes. The sexual tension at the beginning of the book was so good that I couldn't put the book down, but soon after Sera and Ryan hooked up, it felt that there simply wasn't anything else left to be said. Nothing. So even if the sexual tension department was given in an amazing way, from the result, it seems that there wasn't much else in Hot Ride to make it move forward.

There were repetitions, if I read one more time how others spoke about Sera as if she wasn't present or how Ryan was unable to type, I think I might scream. The character development, both for the main as well as the secondary characters, wasn't enough.
