1.0 out of 5 stars Hot Rod Wiring, June 24, 2005
This review is from: Hot Rod Wiring: Painless Wiring of Your Hot Rod, Truck, Race Car (Paperback)
If you are interested in learning about Painless Wiring (the company) and the products they offer, this book is for you. I was searching for a book that could explain to me how to wire a car from scratch as well as trouble shoot an exisiting wiring harness. The book did a little of both, but everything referenced in the book was about the companies products. Nothing against the company, it just wasn't what I was looking for in a book. I've found that there are 2 other books out there that really do help in both departments. "Automotive Electrical Handbook" althought written in 1986, is a great learning tool for wiring a car from scratch. Haynes "Automotive Electircal Manual", will teach you to how to fix an exisitng wiring harness. Both of these books combined should make anyone interested in understanding how electricity works in your car feel more comfortable either working on your car or understanding what mechanics are telling you is wrong. I'm rewiring/fixing a 1957 Chevy's wiring, and trying to fix a 1991 Jeep Wrangler.

This review is from: Hot Rod Wiring: Painless Wiring of Your Hot Rod, Truck, Race Car (Paperback)
This book is strictly an advertisement for Painless Wiring and contains no info that you would not read in Painless
wiring's instruction book. Every chapter tell you how to install their product. What a waste of money
