VANILLA ICE IS NO JOKE,

Trust me. Forget all the bad things you have herd about Vanilla Ice. This guy can rap no doubt about it. This CD proves it. If this CD only got some radio play there would be a few hits on it. Hot Sex and Tha Weed Song are just two that come to mind. Vanilla Ice is back in a phat phresh way. Im not saying he is going to topple Eminem or anything but all the people who have ever hated on Vanilla Ice need to listen to this CD and forget its him because one you listen to this CD you will think differently about the Ice Man. Other Vanilla Ice CD's to check out are "Bi-Polar", "Hard To Swallow" and "Mind Blowin"

You know Ice is getting desperate for fans when they are giving away copies of "Hot Sex" when you spend over $20 at Cheapo. That's exactly how a friend of mine introduced me to Vanilla's new album. In the midst of a Friday night, we decided to throw it in for a laugh, and several laughs we got.
Ice abandons the heavy metal and comes back with a pompous, brag heavy, hardcore brand of gangster rap. The opening track "Hip-Hop Rules" has plenty of laughs on it's own. Aside from the cheesy refrain, Ice brags about being as big as Jay-Z (back then), paving the way for Eminem, his love affair with hip-hop, owning 10 cars and 5 cribs, and cashing phat checks. It's funny to hear a rapper like Ice rap about "bling" and driving his benz, doing drugs, then jumping in with lyrics about his wife and kids. Much like many of the generic beats featured on "Hot Sex", "Dirty South" features a generic Ludacris beat. Ice still conveys delusions of being a hardcore rapper, now more than ever. Even so, Vanilla is quite serious on this record, trying to prove his presence in the rap world, but comes off cheesy as ever. 13 years and 7 albums later, the lyrics get amazingly cheesier. Overall, Ice raps "OK", and the lyrics are hilariously funny. If you're in the mood to hear some re-hashed pop gangster rap and laugh at the same time, this album is for you.

Wow Vanilla Ice is my god he's just soo cool like I look up to him every day! It's such an inspiration to see that his first album has 111 reviews on Amazon, his album after that has 180, his album after that has 80, his album after that has 42, and Hot Sex has twenty!! It just goes to prove what a lasting impact he has, that people are still reviewing his CDs years later!
Oh who am I kidding, he's an idiot. But he provided me with plenty of laughs on The Farm. Great guy!

I would just like to say that this is not a review on Vanilla Ice as a person. This is a review on this album. It is actually amazing. I expected very little given the name written on it but I think anyone into rap from the beginning will love it. He has plenty of guest stars and he brings something really new to this disc that I havent heard before. Over all, a great album with incredible beats that really pound and great distinction from track to track. Do not be scared away by the name. If you didn't tell anyone who it was, they would be commenting that this was one of the best albums they'd heard out of rap in a long time and I honestly believe that.

LISTEN BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO DISS,

BEFORE I BEGIN THIS REVIEW, LET ME STATE THAT THIS CD DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY NEW MATERIAL AT ALL. ALL IT IS A RERECORDING OF THE RAP DISC OF BIPOLAR. HAS VERY GOOD SONGS. THE BEST SONG ON THIS WHOLE CD IS ''GET YOUR A** UP''. ONE SONG THAT I COULD'VE DONE WITHOUT IS ''INSANE KILLAS''. THIS CD PROVES ONCE MORE THAT V-ICE IS NOT REALLY A BAD RAPPER AT ALL. PEOPLE STILL CLAIM TO THIS DAY THAT V-ICE IS THE WORST RAPPER OF ALL TIME. ACTUALLY, ICE IS A BETTER RAPPER NOW THAN HE EVER WAS! BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO DISS, AT LEAST DOWNLOAD SOME OF VANILLA ICE'S LATEST SONGS.

I think this album is trash, I think Ice needs to quit while he has a little dignity left....maybe go back to the surreal life......but. Someone on here was ripping on all whit e rappers calling this "a sin" and "filth" and that hes the "biggest joke in the industry.. Now, not defending Mr. Van Winkle, but how is it filth for him to do this but not EVERY OTHER RAPPER IN THE GAME???, Also, as far as "white" rappers, Eminem has talent, and when this ass came out he did too (for his time period). Also, he's not the biggest joke in the game. That title would be a tie.... Jay Z (because he got ripped apart by Camron.. Camron for christs sake!!!!) and of course, who could forget the talentless Benzino.. Benzino is the biggest joke ever.. I could rap circles around him, and I hate hip hop

Counter rate for the one star fool.,

People should not rate items that they haven't heard yet. Don't give an artist one star just because you don't know how many tracks the cd has. I have heard some of Vanilla Ice's later albums and they are all great.
