I lived in a city apartment building that had been absolutely infested with roaches. The landlord called in an exterminator, but they only treated the apartment that was considered Ground Zero--the rest of us had to fend for ourselves. My dad suggested this liquid bait when Raid did nothing. It was bad. There were bugs all through my kitchen, under the sink, in the cabinets, under the fridge, and they progressed from there to the bathroom. I set the traps out in key locations (following my father's advice rather than the box's instructions) and my apartment stayed bug-free for the rest of my lease. I kept one trap directly under the kitchen sink, another between the counter and the wall on the floor, another under the refrigerator, and one in the bathroom between the sink and the toilet. It worked like a charm.

This has a cover to protect pets from getting to it. The problem is, big roaches can't get to it either. You need to remove the cover, so big roaches can get to it, place plenty of those in your house, and roaches will pretty much disappear. Another thing to consider is, if you got places where roaches can get water, they will go there do drink. They use the traps mainly when they can't find water elsewhere. Of cause, these need to be placed where small kids and pets can't get to them.

We've had increasing cockroach problems for awhile now and finally got this last night. The directions suggest putting five traps in the kitchen (six in a package), but I have three cats, including one curious, dumb kitten, and so I wasn't going to leave these out where my cats could get at them. Incidentally, my cats don't give a f**k about the roaches. One looks at me like she is WAY above killing invertebrates, one tries to make friends with them, and the kitten is too busy tormenting the two cats to notice the roaches. I put TWO under the sink before I went to bed. When I came downstairs this morning, the floor was COVERED in dead or dying roaches. It's like there had been Gotterdammerung for cockroaches in my house while I slept. In the middle of the dead roaches - my three cats, looking at me with this total "WE KILLD ROACHEZ DEAD FOR U!!!!" look on their faces. I was not fooled. So, yeah. This stuff works.

So I can finally afford my own apartment in NYC, trying to make things as ballin' as possible. You know what's not ballin'? Roaches. Roaches are not ballin' at all. (note: me screaming like a 6 year old girl upon seeing a roach-also not ballin')

My roach problem was never that bad, at its worst I was seeing a few a day, mostly in the kitchen near the cat food, and in the bathroom. But any number of roaches more than zero is significantly detrimental to my baller status.

Enter Hot Shot Roach Bait: I put a few of these in my kitchen and bathroom. The next day I saw one roach. Within a few days I stopped seeing any roaches and haven't seen any in several months.

Thank you Hot Shot Roach Bait-for eliminating a major threat to my effort of being able to describe everything in my apartment, and life in general, as ballin'.

Amazing stuff. Began to work within 2 days. Within 30, bug free. NOTE: this stuff messes with the bugs' system and you will see an INCREASE of activity the first week, but then all if a sudden you begin sweeping up dead ones. In 2 weeks I had a random one I would see in the morning but that's it. (which is why i got another box) 4 months later still no bugs. Yay!

This is the best bait I have ever used. It really does the job. It doesn't last long and I had to buy a second set, but it was worth it.!

This stuff works great for what we call water bugs. Put a few of these out and no more bugs!

I saw a few critters here and there after my next door (duplex) neighbors moved out. I thought these baits took care of the problem until I woke up at 3am one morning, walked into the kitchen and saw several crawling around. If you're like, me, even ONE roach in your house is too many. I added osage oranges, home made bait (corn syrup and boric acid) and roach motels. More roaches. I finally called Orkin.

The exterminator baited my kitchen and sprayed the rest of the house (to drive them out) and only baited the side where the neighbors moved out (to keep them there). Within days, I started finding dead roaches (the best kind) here and there. The duplex next door literally had hundreds of dead roaches on the floor. The exterminator had to come back again (routine follow up) 30 days later and then maintenance visits after that are still scheduled. But I haven't seen a single roach since that follow up visit.

Either these baits didn't work or the problem was so out of hand (and in the walls) that there was no way they could make a marked difference. Supposedly if you see even one roach in the day time, there are hundreds you don't see -- and I had no idea how bad the place next door was.
