I was very skeptical about this game when it was first recommended to me.I've had it for over a year and I still enjoy it.There's a vs. mode where you can unlock 9 different characters by defeating them in a round.The players get progressively more challenging but when you defeat them,you can then use them to win the 5 other tornaments in the game.For those that like a totally serious golf game,this may not be for you.On the other hand,if you like a game that's fairly simple to play but yet challenging at the same time,then this is definately your game.Very quick reload times are another plus.

Without a doubt, Hot Shots Golf is the best golf game on the market. The load time is phenomenally fast, the character are funny and witty, and I love it when the wind and/or rain plays havoc with the drives and putts. Its a challenge to try to defeat the other characters. There are imitators -- shop around yourself -- you'll come back to Hot Shots Golf.

Hitting good shots is tough but not too tough. The courses and opponents get progressively tougher, keeping you interested. You have to plan how to attack a hole, and you're rewarded for being conservative as well as being aggressive, depending on the situation. Almost everything about the game makes sense if you've played golf in real life.

I found this game to be extremely fun and if you get a frielnd to play, you can be ascompetetive as if you were ona real golf course. I liked the fact that you have to factor in the same things in this game as I have to when I play a real round of golf on one of our area courses. I would recommend this game to anyone who has an interest in golfing. Even when the weatheroutside is bad, I still can get my dose of playing golf with this game and have fun.

My husband discover the game on a demo and we just had to find one. We have golf tournaments with our friends every weekend. The vs. mode is my husband favorite because he is the only one who can win the characters. We just wish playstation would have made Hot Shots2 graphics like the first one.

I had a demo of this game and could not wait to purchase it. It is very easy to learn how to play and the courses and scenery are great. However, I was dismayed to find that you have to earn different characters to play with and you also have to earn new courses. To earn a new character, you must play against the Playstation, and if you win the round, you win that character. I tried 3 times to win a new one and finally gave up. Otherwise, the game is fun to play alone or compete with another player. Even you have never picked up a club, you can play golf!

In not so many words, this game rocks. So simple, anyone can just pick it up and start to play a complete round of golf. I started that way, and went back to check out the lessons and learned things that I didn't know were in the game.

A must for your collection.

This game is so cool. It is a good game for the whole family and is fun for all ages. It isn't too difficult and it has pretty good graphics. It does look realistic, and the characters are not polygonal. They are 3D. I recamend this game to anyone who enjoys golf games. Or anyone who likes a quiet game to relax infront of.

Hot Shots Golf is a good game for fans of golf who are a bit sick of ultra-realism. Some of you, however, will find the gameplay a little too familiar. Either way, you're not going to be disappointed because I give it a 10
