5.0 out of 5 stars Prozzak is The Greatest Band Ever!
While visiting Whistler/Blackcomb this summer, I constanly heard the Prozzak song entitled "Strange Disease". The song was unbeliveable! The video rocks and the beat is catchy. So, after becoming addicted to this track, I was obligated to purchasing the C.D. While paying the 14 dollars for the C.D I was sceptical if it would be any good, or if "strange...

While visiting Whistler/Blackcomb this summer, I constanly heard the Prozzak song entitled "Strange Disease". The song was unbeliveable! The video rocks and the beat is catchy. So, after becoming addicted to this track, I was obligated to purchasing the C.D. While paying the 14 dollars for the C.D I was sceptical if it would be any good, or if "strange disease" is the only song on the album. I was oddly suprised. The entire album is filled with rythmic beats and creative lyrics about Simon (the band's lead singer) and his past love experiences. "Europa", "Omobolasire", "Strange Disease", "New York", "Tsunami", and "I like to Watch", are probably the most outstanding tracks on the album, but every song is great. It has a vast variety of dance, techno, and slow, rythmic songs. This album is great to listen to while running, or when you are typing at your computer. I recommend this C.D more than any other I have ever recommended. Buy this C.D immediatly!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pure Pop Music At It's Best, November 3, 1999
By
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
When I was in Canada in April of '99, i saw the video for "Sucks To Be You" On Muchmusic. I decided to get the album when I saw it in a record store later that day (It was originally released in Canada back in October of '98....and was originally scheduled to be in the US in august of '99). It was a smart move. My favorite song still has to be "Sucks To Be You". It is a major dance hit. I just cant wait to see if it charts in the states. There are some other good songs on the album too. A europop song oddly titled "Europa". "Stange Disease" is also a cool track. A good slow song on this album is "New York". The only bad thing I can really say about this album is that it has no real substance to it, but for those of you who don't know.....Prozzak is a cartoon duo made up of two members of the Canadian group the philosopher kings. They started Prozzak as a joke, so it is not that big of a deal to me that there isn't much substance to it. Also, sometimes less is better than more! So if you are looking for a simple pop album to get you dancing and romancing, this is it! Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. - If you want to preview the tracks, watch clips of their videos, or just find out more about them.........go to www.prozzak.com. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars I've loved this album for YEARS!!!, November 4, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
Aw man, it's Prozzak! Must... buy... CD!!! I used to have this but all my CDs got stolen a few months back. But those tunes are so catchy! Some people think that the lyrics are inappropriate because of all the Simon and Milo stuff the guys do on Disney and whatnot, but what they don't realize is that Simon and Milo were Prozzak BEFORE they were Simon and Milo, if you catch my drift. They put out Hot Show before they started doing the kiddie stuff, so it was aimed at a more mature audience. Erm... Oh, another interesting tidbit is that the real guys that play Simon and Milo are from a Canadian band called the Philosopher Kings. I can't think of any of their songs off the top of my head, or even what they sound like, but I know that it's true because my dad is the CEO of a record company and did some work with them. That's when he brought home Hot Show for me! It's great, man; high quality entertainment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple yet enjoyable!, October 24, 1999
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
I first heard Prozzak on an episode of MTV's 120 minutes a few months back for the song "Sucks to Be You." After hearing the song once it got stuck in my head so bad I just had to go out and buy the album. Fortunatly the rest of the album is just as catchy as the popular single. A great CD for anyone who enjoys simple yet solid dance tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, March 4, 2005
By
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
I remember when I was 10, and I bought it. The music was amazing. I still have those songs in my head. The lyrics are very good. The music is good as well. If you bought "Ready Ready Set Go" you are really missing the big pieces that make up Prozzak. I still have my Prozzak web site up, and I always update, even though they haven't made a REAL cd in 5 years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Upbeat and catchy, January 16, 2000

This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
Hot Show has got to be one of my favorite CDs of all time. It's full of catchy songs that will stick in your head for days. I, like most people, saw 2 of their videos (I believe they were "Sucks To Be You" and "Strange Disease") on MTV2. My friend bought the CD and the first time I heard it all I was hooked. Since my friend and I live in different states, I copied her CD so I could listen to the songs until I bought my own copy. My personal favorite is "Europa," but the big hit seems to "Sucks To Be You." "Strange Disease" is also a very good one. There are even a few slow songs and ALL are good for dancing. Besides, who can resist Simon's charm and Milo's....well...just buy the CD. The songs will haunt you and leave you sleepless if you don't.

5.0 out of 5 stars I got a strange disease, January 31, 2004
By
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
I was perusing my cd collection looking for something to review when I came across Prozzak's (now Simon and Milo) album "Hot Show". I have almost forgotten how infectious and catchy this cd is. I remember seeing the video for "Sucks to be You" on MTV (when MTV played actual music videos) back in '98. I thought the song was quite catchy. A couple of years later I picked up the cd. It is difficult for me to describe the kind of music that is on the cd. I guess it is a good mixture of pop & rock music blended together with elements of latin music. It is a fun, catchy pop album. I particularly enjoyed "Omobolasire", "Mediterranean Lady", "Hot Show", "Sucks to Be You" and "New York". The melody to "Hot Show" bears a vague resemblence to the Eminem song "Kim". I'm not saying that it is the same but I personally think the two songs sounds somewhat alike. Normally I don't care for pop music but "Hot Show" is not one of the many pop albums I loathe with a passion. It is a catchy, fun little album to listen to when you're feeling down.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe I like it so much!, February 21, 2000
By
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
Is it possible to be a progressive rock fan for the last 25 years and suddenly fall in love with this album? Sure it is! Last summer when we were going camping to Slave Lake my 11 years old son furtively stack this CD to the CD player. I patiently endured this "experience", but next day I caught myself singing one of Prozzak's songs! I will always remember those vacations full of moody-but-fun, sad-but-cheering up songs by Prozzak. In 3 days my son and I are going to see Simon and Milo live here in Calgary, we can't wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Like To Listen, December 13, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hot Show (Audio CD)
I Love Ready Ready Set Go. So when I found out there were cds before it came out, I was excited. I really like these songs. I especially like I Like To Watch (Milo's Night Out.), Omobolasire, Be As, And Anna-Lisa. I really like these songs. They're all really catchy and right now I'm singing I Like To Watch. These are really good songs and I think everybody should buy a copy of this cd. Some people might not like some of the lyrics. Example: From I Like To Watch (Milo's Night Out) some people might not like how Milo sings:
I like to watch
I like the way you bounce bounce
I like to watch
Ya ya groove 'n' move it
I like to watch
Shake it if you've got it lady
Here's my confession
I like to watch your hot box
Some people might find it offensive but I merely think that Milo happens to enjoy people,(mainly women)dancing. And if they happen to bounce bounce, groove 'n' move it, shake it if they've got it, or move their hot box so be it. I think more people find it offensive how in Sucks To Be You, Simon says he's a b@$%$#d if it's true. Big whoppdee freaking do. They're still really good, catchy songs mixed with great music and great voices. So I say buy the cd if you're looking for something a little different.
