I bought several guides to hot springs in Nevada & California, and this is clearly the best. Provides a B+W photo for every spring, as well as GPS coordinates, detailed driving instructions, pool temporature and detailed description. This book described several springs that were right under my nose and that were described nowhere else. If you get this guide, you won't need any other.

Each year we spend about four months traveling throughout the west in search of hot springs. HOT POOLS & HOT SPRINGS OF THE SOUTHWEST is our travel guide -- we wouldn't leave home without it. In all the southwestern states, this book has led us to the best soaks in existence. It is, by far, the most accurate and detailed guide available; none can compare with it. As with any printed guide, it can never be completely up to date because conditions do change, but that's a normal part of life. The publisher, Marjorie Gersh-Young welcomes information about changes in use, openings, closings, etc, and will incorporate them into future editions.

This is a great guide and the updated version is wonderful. GPS coordinates are a definite bonus, particularly for some of the more elusive springs. There is so much more information in this latest guide. We've been using an earlier edition for over 10 years, and enjoy each and every soak. Looking forward to exploring more!
