I bought this two, maybe three years ago, and it is honestly the best hair tool I've ever owned. It works incredibly well, heats up super fast (and has a temperature control so you don't fry your hair), doesn't noticeably damage your hair, it's consistently worked for the last three years, and as far as high quality irons go the price is pretty reasonable. As someone who curls her hair pretty much every day and has gone though a lot of curling irons, this is the best one by far. I also do hair and makeup backstage for my school's plays, and so I've tested this iron on many different types of hair and it's consistently worked on everyone. Other people often bring their irons in, too, and this one works better than all of them, people are constantly coming up to me and asking where I got it and if they can use it. I know people who claim they've never gotten their hair to hold a curl before, and this iron has made their hair curl. It's kind of magical. The only annoying thing about it is the cord can get really tangled up, but that's not a huge deal. Seriously, buy it. You won't regret it.

A couple of things to note: I have pretty long hair (about elbow length when wet) so the 1 in barrel works perfectly for me, but I have friends with much shorter hair and it's too big for them, it only flips their hair out and doesn't curl. If you have a bob or short hair, go for a smaller barrel size.
I'd recommend not using the clip, too, because you get more natural curls if you don't, but if you do want to use it it does come with extra springs if the spring breaks off, although I've never had to use them.
