Despite the fact that my son, who loves dinosaurs, has been pining for this toy, I had read the reviews and so decided not to buy this toy. However, for his 4th birthday my sister took him to the toy store to buy him whatever his heart desired. Of course this was his choice. And what a great choice. He loves it. It wasn't as difficult to put together as I had feared, and although on occasion a piece comes apart, it's been easy to put back together. And although not all cars work with it - we have more than enough Hot Wheels cars that do work (and you really only need 4 or 5 that work). This is one toy that all 3 of my boys (ages 2, 4 & 7) love to play with together. Even my husband and a friend of his enjoyed getting in on the action. If you want a toy that babysits your kids - put in a movie... if not, get down on the floor, grab a car, and smile at your son's reaction as the car flies up the Dinosaur and into its mouth.

We just bought this for our son, he just turned four. We also have a 2 1/2 year boy too. Both of them take it apart quite easily, which is fine but it takes some time to put back together. The dinosaur wobbles quite a bit. I would also recommend making sure an adult supervises the play with this toy because it does shoot the cars out with great force. It did not come with race cars nor batteries. If you decide to purchase, make sure you get them so your not digging in your toy box for cars. I was a little annoyed with this since I paid almost, $60 at a local retailer (should've bought through amazon). The toy however is very entertaining and fun to watch it shoot the cars. The kids love to make the dinosaur roar too.

had never purchased any hotwheels playsets before and probally won't for a few more years. bought this for my four year olds birthday, does not seem too safe due to the fact that it zips these metal cars around and if the head is not pointed straight they just fly everywhere,and if the plastic ramp is not held up when his mouth gets full he won't open his mouth and spit the toys out because the car has to be pointed in a certain way to make a lever release and his mouth open, has alot of small parts for a four year old to remember where they go, definetly a toy that would require constant supervision with a young child, were taking it back today and buying something more sturdier

I never give reviews like this, but I read some of the other reviews that didn't like this set and I had to chime in. Yes, I was skeptical when my child wanted this set, but when he got it for his birthday I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it actually worked like it's supposed to, and it's great fun to play with! It looked noisy and somewhat dangerous from the commercials on TV (with cars flying out of the dino's mouth and all), but I didn't find that to be the case when it was built and operating. The set works well and he and I have lots of fun playing with it; supervision is recommended since the cars are moving fast coming out of the launch. It wasn't hard to put together, and it took longer for me to apply the stickers than to assemble the track. It's not one to be moved around once it's assembled (just like most Hot Wheels sets) but contrary to other reviews I found it to hold together very well and was pretty sturdy once fully assembled. Most cars worked with the set but you really only need about five or six cars since that's all that will fit in the dino's mouth. It was also neat to see the T-Wrecks set in the "World Race" cartoon, episode three. He loves it, and all around I think it's better than many of the other HW sets out there (and he has quite a few of the other HW track sets, so believe me I know). Shop around for the best price, we paid around 30.00 for it and I think it was worth it at that price (I sure can't say that about all HW track sets). I was very happy and a bit surprised when I saw how much fun he had playing with it, the only question is where to put it when it's not being used....it's a big set. For our family though, the good outweighs the bad hands down.

This toy does fall apart if moved. As long as it sits in one spot no problem. It is a little dangerous though. Metal cars and high speed. Do NOT get your head in the way. IT HURTS!!! My boys 8/6 have fun with it but out of their 100 hot wheels cars only about 7 work with it. It's not the worst toy out there, but it sure isn't the best either.

My 4 year old just received this for his Birthday. It took a good hour to put together ... However, it was definitely worth the time. He loves it. ... Overall, I think it was worth the money spent.

My 4 year old son wanted this toy above all others, so we got it, against my better judgement. He really enjoys playing with it, Its not too bad to put together, i did it in about 20 mins or so, Be sure and put it together where you intend to let it stay, moving it causes it to fall apart, which for mom and dad, kinda stinks, but it is a fun toy. I would not pay 40 for it, that is WAAAY to much, if you get it, get it on sale, and be sure to have about 6 or 7 cars that will fit. THEY DO NOT COME WITH THE SET. Just remember, when you get it, you aren't buying something made from wood or metal, its plastic!!! be prepared to help kids put it back together, and fix the mouth. The attitude you have will decide whether you are happy with the toy or not.

I just got this for my 4 year old for Christmas. I paid $29.74 at Wal*Mart. If I had read some of the reviews...I probably wouldn't have purchases it....but my son loves dinasours and I don't mind supervising. The sturdiness of the product....I hope we can find a way to help it out when we set it up!!

My son is a huge dinosaur fan. He is 5 years old and since he was 3 he has said he wanted to be an archeologist when he grows up. So, when he saw this advertised on TV, it was all he wanted. We gave it to him for Christmas and I must say it is one of only a few Hotwheels play sets that actually work well. I didn't read the reviews beforehand, but even if I did, we'd have gotten it for him anyway. Just the size of the dinosaur amazed him. True, not all the cars work in it because they can't have the roofs be too high or they don't fit through the tunnel, but my son has well over 75 matchbox/hotwheels cars, so this was not a problem. Ours works superbly. It indicates that the mouth will hold 5 cars, but we can pile 8 or 9 in. Then when my son uses the lever to have a car hit the mouth & release the trapped cars, he cracks up laughing as they come tumbling down. He makes up stories about the T-Rex eating the cars, so it triggers imagination while playing. Although my husband assembled it, on the occassions when we have moved it from one room to another and it has come apart, my 5 year old son knows how to reconnect everything.

This toy has been an absolute hit at our house ever since arriving! Received for a gift and would recommend! This is a toy and not a babysitter so adult supervision is definitely recommended. We had several kids here for a party and the T-Wrecks was the hit!(ages 3yrs-10yrs) Looking for a great gift for the kid who loves hot wheels? Look no further...T-Wrecks is a must have!
