Eye Candy for Redline Collectors!,
This review is from: Hot Wheels Classics: The Redline Era (Hardcover)
The vivid cover of "Classics: The Redline Era" grabs your attention. Opening up the book itself seals the deal. Fantastic imagery and facts about each casting add to the appeal of this fantastic issue. Definitely worthy of being placed on any Redline collector's bookshelf.
The only issue I'd even remotely note is the fact that page 100 is an error (at least in mine). It's the summary page for "The Demon", but the pictured car is actually the "Python." Someone missed that one in the editing department, big-time! Retail value is $30, which initially made me pass, even though I really was tempted to buy it. However, there seems to be a massive influx of these on eBay and Amazon at amazingly LOW prices (I got mine brand-new for a BUCK + shipping...seriously!). Is it a surplus of the aforementioned error? Has the error been corrected? I don't know, and don't care. It's an AMAZING Hot Wheels reference book. Enjoy. ~Neal Giordano, North Carolina Hot Wheels Association ([...])

Hot Wheels for Life,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hot Wheels Classics: The Redline Era (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my dad, he saw it at a book store, the price was a little high, so like anything else, I come to amazon and find the items cheaper. Paid $5 for the book, more then worth that just for all the pictures (regular price in the store was $30). This book covers what is says in the title, "The Redline Era", which from flipping through it was around 4yrs or so from what I got out of it. There is some interesting facts about certain models of product stating things like the variety of colors, pre-production models, and options for a given vehicle and the rarity/worth based on such options. Book is probably worth the full price to the Hot Wheels enthusiast, but if one can find it at a discount then definitely grab it just for the quality of the pictures and information.

A Beautiful Classic,
By An Indy Fan (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hot Wheels Classics: The Redline Era (Hardcover)
There are plenty of Hot Wheels books on the market, but there is not a hardcover book that features many of the finest Redline cars known to exist all captured and presented in fabulous and vibrant color photographs. You'll enjoy page after page of great Redline cars. There are photo spreads that are so alive and dazzling you'll swear you could lift the cars off the pages. Some of my favorites include a rainbow of Classic '36 Ford Coupes; an amazing collection of 47 mint Custom Camaros; and an array of Custom Cougars in every color released, including a rare brown example (less than 10 are known to exist). In addition to the more than 500 spectacular photographs, you'll find commentary from design greats Larry Wood, Howard Rees and others. Great cars. Great design. Great book. Any Hot Wheels fan will love this book.
