My son (2 years) plays better with play sets rather than the typical hot wheels race tracks, so this set was perfect for him. He has played with it for hours just pushing the cars around the track manually, but he also enjoys the launcher. I'm not sure why other buyers had problems with their launchers, but his works just fine. The car will launch about half-way around the track, but it wasn't intended to launch the car around the entire play set. This was probably the best $7 I've ever spent towards his toy collection.

The box looks like it's a fun toy. But what good is a toy that doesn't do anything? The car doesn't go far at all, as a matter of fact, it barely makes it up the first incline. Useless. I wish I had read these reviews before; the reviews are exactly what we have discovered. Disappointing.

It looks great. It works OK. It's a drag that some cars don't work on it. I prefer the plain gravity powered, classic hot wheels tracks but kids today seem to like the realistic recreated scenes with lots of glitzy detail. This one is one of those ... and it comes with a very cool car. Kids will like the look.
