This review is from: Hot Wheels 1/18 Elite Ferrari F430 Scuderia 60th Anniversary (Toy)
I've had this model car for a month, and unlike all of my other 1:18 scale cars; it's as tight as a drum. The interior is AMAZING with cloth seatbelts, metal floors, and very percise workable steering. The engine cover stays up in the air, the doors open very smoothly, and there are NO loose or wabbly parts; especially the rear-view mirrors and tail lights. It's so detailed that you can actually see the engine through the back grill. I am so pleased and Orange Onions got it to me in only a couple of days. I did have to ding it on durability since two of the "Ferrari" emblems (on the engine and edge of the engine cover) fell off. So, be wary of the emblems! Other than that, this is a must-have to any Ferrari lover.

One of the best Hot Wheels Elite die-cast,

First off, I didn't buy this through Amazon, but was so impresed by this Elite model, I had to give a review. As you read this, be aware that there are the REGULAR Hot Wheels die-cast (just known as Hot Wheels), and the ELITE Hot Wheels. I'm an avid collector of 1/18 die-casts, been collecting since 2002; but stopped collecting after I purchased the Ferrari F430 REGULAR Hot Wheels 1/18 model back in 2009. I was super disappointed with the REGULAR Hot Wheels F430 Scuderia model: the engine was just a single piece of black plastic (so it wasn't even a 3D mold!!), the doors were made of plastic so the colors didn't match to that of the painted metal die-cast of the rest of the car, and the plastic windows had a foggy tint so you couldn't really see the ugly single piece of black plastic replica engine. That was why I stopped collecting for almost a year.
But then I heard about the new Hot Wheels ELITE brand. I was like, hmmm, I might give it a try because I really love the F430 Scuderia, and I want to replace that ugly REGULAR Hot Wheels 1/18 model. And the seller on Amazon only asked $60 for it with shipping, only $20 more than the REGULAR version. Wow, I was IMPRESSED. The Elite version and the regular version is like night and day. And it only costed $20 more. It is totally worth the extra $20. For an example, the Elite has real metal textured flooring!! The regular Hot Wheels of this model is just black plastic. The Elite has real fabric seat belts! The Elite has: painted dashboards, metal doors, windows that are actually clear and look closer to glass, an actual engine mold instead of just a single piece of plastic, the engine is actually painted with the appropriate colors just like the real F430, painted calipers, real mesh rear grille instead of just a single piece of solid plastic grille, real mesh side air vents instead of just a single piece of black plastic, the Elite has the actual F430 emblems throughout the model in contrast to the REGULAR that didn't have any. I could go on and on. In summary, if you're a collector, invest the extra $20 to get the Elite version because you get SO MUCH MORE. DO NOT buy the regular Hot Wheels F430 model because you will be sorely disappointed, and then you'll end up having wasted $$ because you'll end up buying the Elite version too like I did. My regular Hot Wheels one is just sitting in my closet now collecting dust because nobody wants to buy it from me. I hope this review helps if you're one of those people deciding whether or not to spend the extra $20 to get the Elite version. If this review isn't convincing, just google images of both versions, and you'll see the difference. Since I've picked up the Elite version of the F430, I've replaced 5 other models in my collection with the Elite version - and I'm impressed with all of Elite models so far.

This model is really a beautiful piece. Paint is top-notch and the color is wild. Tampos/etching are very nice. Wheels/brakes are rendered very nicely, but the motor only has average detail. The interior is really where this model shines, with cloth harnesses, metal floormats and amazing detail. The price for this car is amazing when you consider how much Elites go for on the auction website that begins with an E. At this price you won't be sorry and Orange Onions got it to me in a week.
