My 2 yr old is soo fond of cars that he used to "drive" his little matchbox/hotwheel cars around the house on any horizontal surface. Recently, he discovered the joy of driving the cars on the slope of my legs (when i used to be reclining around watching TV) !! Thats when i thought I hv to buy him a roadway with a slope! Found this one and it works perfect for his imagination..and its not expensive..its durable.

My two year old loves his hot wheel, matchbox cars and he loves this roadway toy. Only thing is some cars don't work as well as others on the ramp. I taped down the ramp and now all cars work fine. The ramp that pops up is the only part that is making this toy not work well. If you want this toy to work I would tape down the ramp so it can't pop up.

Although this track is fun to drive the cars around by hand, one of the points of the toy is to shoot your car up a ramp. The launcher barely has enough power to get the car (even the car provided with the toy) TO the ramp, let alone up it with any sort of force.

This was a gift for his 3rd birthday several months ago... Too many small parts. I had to hide most of them since they are choke hazards and he still puts things in his mouth now and then that he isn't supposed to.. He was left with the racetrack part which held his attention for a day or two then he moved on to play with other classic toys he likes better (lincoln logs, road rug, wood blocks) Thought it was fragile - afraid if he fell or stepped on it, would break. My husband and I couldn't figure out exactly how everything worked (ramp?) - the road itself was all put together right, we thought it was supposed to do something else but couldn't figure out what was special about the toy.. There either wasn't instructions included, or they weren't very good. Now I see online the cars are supposed to jump off a ramp or something. Since he hasn't played with it for a few months I'll probably be giving it away to goodwill.. Decided to get him the blutrack this xmas for his matchbox cars, which I think he will have a lot more fun with, and its only one piece so nothing to break or swallow!

I received this at a company gift exchange where children's toys are often popular (who doesn't like shooting a Nerf gun once in a while?). I thought that maybe the cars were battery powered, or at least friction powered. Assembly of the set was very tedious, consisting of applying about 20 different kinds of decals to the various parts. When I finally got everything together, I realized that the single car only rolled; there was no power source to keep it going around the track. The launcher was actually too powerful and tended to shoot the car off the track, with our without the pop-up ramp. At best, the car would make it down the one downhill curve and then stop. The track is so small, I would think that kids would tire of it quickly. I think the parts are too small for a small child, and uninteresting for larger kids. This collection of plastic parts and one car are not worth the price.

IT'S DURABLE (FLEXIBLE AND WELL MADE PLASTIC PIECES) BUT IT DOESN'T REALLY WORK. IT COMES WITH A CAR TOO HEAVY TO BE PUSHED BY THE BAR. i TRIED USING LIGHTER HOTWHEELS CARS BUT THE SPEED GIVEN TO THEM IS NOT ENOUGH TO GO PAST HALF THE TRACK. VERY MEDIOCRE TOY. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND

I bought this for my 4-year old grandson this weekend. Not a good purchase. The launcher does not give any of his cars enough push to even go up the ramp let alone over it. If we keep the ramp down some of his cars make it far enough to go down the first curve, but that is it. The figure and the cone are so small they got lost the first day and I would think if he were any younger he would be in danger of putting them in his mouth and choking. It says for 3+, but I would not buy it again for any age. I'm very disappointed. I called Mattel. They said it sells for 7.99! What?! Apparently the last one made was in 2009 so the price is high because it is not longer manufactured? What a joke. I have never felt the need to call a manufacturer before, but this toy really ticked me off and now the price (I paid 15.99) made me even madder. They will send a voucher for 7.99 unless I can find my receipt then I get a voucher for the full price. Not a happy camper over this one - can you tell?!?
