Piece of garbage!!!,

This review is from: Hot Wheels Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC - 1701 Refit - Model# P8511 (Toy)
I just got this and I have to say there are several problems with it. First, the engines are not lined up properly. When looking at it from the front one nacelle is lower than the other. Second, On the box it says NCC 1701-A, but there is no A it is just NCC 1701. Third, It is not all Diecast, most of it is made of a very bendible plastic and this makes it very fragile. In summery, save your money, or try to find the Corgi Model of the original Enterprise, it at least is made with some quality.
I will not be buying the other ships in this series and I hope that Corgi starts releasing more ships in their Star Trek line.

The picture shows the Enterprise from the new movie. Why? I thought this was a review for the TMP refit.

It's not fantastic, but it's good enough and cheap price. Enjoy, long live and prosper. Scotty, she needs more power !

A good model with good detail but not entirely accurate. The front portion of lower body near the deflector dish is not white like the rest of the ship. It is blue/grey. Overall satisfied and what I expect from a toy from Hot wheels.

Overall, this is a highly detailed die cast replica of the U.S.S. Enterprise from the Star Trek feature films.
However, Hot Wheels has made a slight error, at least on the ones I've seen on the shelf. The packaging labels this as the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A. However, if you look at the actual toy, the registry number on both the saucer and the warp nacelles lacks the "A", making it a replica of the Enterprise as it appeared in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. The Enterprise-A appeared in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Either someone at Mattel didn't do their homework properly, or someone approved this without knowing the full details. In any case, the discrepancy between toy and packaging shouldn't matter much if all you're looking for is a good replica of the legendary starship to display proudly in your collection.

The add clearly shows a picture of the USS Enterprise from the new 2009 movie. Nothing in the add when I ordered it says any different, but when I opened my package today it contained the USS Enterprise from the original movie "STMP" the refit. I am very unsatisfied and I feel that I was intentionally mislead from the get go. When I click on the link I have for my sale it still brings up the NEW Enterprise from the movie. Either they are trying to scam people out of there money or they have idiots posting the selling information.
