We bought this game for our 5 year old son last year. We all have enjoyed playing this game. Even my 3 year old can play it. On certain levels, if you crash or run out of time, you start over. Now my 3 year old may not understand the concept or figure out exactly what to do, but he enjoys just being able to move his car aound. They love the cars that they get to pick from, and it makes the game so interesting for them. When other kids come over, this is always the first game they want to play. We have not experienced getting stuck in corners, we are usually able to get out of the corner by reverse or flipping the car over. I would recommend this game to any age, it is fun for everyone.

My grandson has been playing this game since he was 4 and it is his favorite PS game. We have to help him unlock the cars and weapons, but once unlocked, he takes over and does great. I'm going to buy another one so he can play at home also.

this game is the best racing game ever! it has violence moments. the cars blow up. the bad person trys too wreck your car. but when you get stuck in a courner you have a choice to restart or wait for the bad peson too hit you. which takes a long time too do (it depends where you are) i recommend this for whoever loves hot wheels. and i almost forgot you get too pick your car and weapon

I like Hot Wheels because you can smash around cars.I play with my 2 brothers.There is a lot of neat cars to unlock and levels filled with action.My favorite thing about the game is that you can get a turbo boost to go faster than other racers in races.Hot Wheels Velocity X is a good game!

My eight year old son and his friends ranging in age from six to twelve love this game. I have even played with them and have to admit that it is fun. On occasion you can get stuck in a corner, but if you manuever yourself just right you can sort of back yourself out of it (by clicking the "0" button).

Not the best game in the world but still a lot of fun. I haven't experienced the problem with getting stuck in corners that a lot of others have mentioned. Maybe its that I have the PC version but I hit reverse, or to clear some room I use the Sonic Boom. Its definitely a fast game with really interesting track designs. I was hesistant to get this game after buying Stunt Track Driver 1 & 2...which stunk. ~30 Hot Wheels vehicles, including several that show up in the World Race line up, which all look Hot. 4 different camera views (no dash but there is a Bumper cam) should give a POV for everyone. The one thing that I dislike is that PC version has no joystick support. I emailed THQ and that was their response. Its still a driving game however, just not the best. Hopefully THQ won't make the same mistake with their upcoming Highway 35 World Race game.

I purchased this game for my son.
It was to replace the exact game he all ready had that was
accidently broken.
My son is nine years old. He has enjoyed playing this game
for many hours. he has only about ten PC cd-rom games and
this one is one of his favored out of all.It in hard to find
PC games that do not contain alot of graphic volence.Over all this is a very good game for younger players.

It was a gift for my 10 year old grandson. they enjoy it a lot.

This game is simply Hot Wheels heaven... Driving up walls, awesome skater-style ramps/halfpipes...doing freestyle stunts in the air...and those loops!! This is EXACTLY how I'd play with Hot Wheels toy cars when I was a kid....This game brings my old childhood fantasies to life!! It is in fact BETTER, as I never had imagined the outrageously creative, crazy worlds that have been designed for this game!! The music, the scenery....It was an awesome time!! I'd "drive" for hours getting myself lost through the different environments (and trying to best myself on stunt points).

Of course, it's not perfect (but what game is?). However, I had one of the most rockingest of times in getting to know this game.

I'm very disappointed that there'll be no Velocity X 2. Perhaps it's just as well, since, judging by the other releases AFTER Velocity X (Highway 35, Stunt Track Challenge, etc.) I'm suspecting it wouldn't be NNNEEEARLY as good.

This game is NOT worth the money!! I'm very sorry i bought it! If you get knocked into a corner,GAME OVER! Cuz, you CAN"T get yourself OUT of the corner!! There's NO control for backing out of corners. And , you are "Puzzled" by WHAT IS THE GAME ABOUT ANYWAY!! Maybe only GUYS will love this game, being a Female, yes, I DON"T get it at ALL!!
