Product Description

Introducing the Gridiron Lovers series.Twenty years ago Cal Tate played hard on and off the high-school football field he’s now trying to renovate. The former quarterback’s memories of hot times under the bleachers are still there, and it doesn’t take long for his libido to kick in when he gets up close and personal with his assistant on the project. Melanie Anthony once lusted after Cal from afar, but in those days a girl’s reputation was everything. Times have changed, and now Melanie’s ready to be “bad” and sample every inch of Cal in the flesh.Mutual lust runs so hot it overwhelms them both and overshadows the reunion that first brought them together.

This was possibly the worst thing I've ever read, even for a freebie it was horrible. The dialogue was TERRIBLE, awkward, and downright laughable it was so stupid and unrealistic. The plot...wait there was no plot. You have two people who meet, who go to bed that night (and even though he's 40 something he's ready for round 2 right after round 1- that's very realistic) then are having a weekend getaway a week later, next thing you know he's talking marriage in two weeks, then a girl comes to the house whose stepdad tried to rape her...and by then it had become so ridiculous I deleted it from my Kindle. Please do not waste your time.

There were a bunch of these short stories that came out free at the same time, and I've read several. Granted, none of them will be winning any Pulitzer prizes, but some are at least entertaining. This one was such horrible work that it made my skin crawl while I was reading it. The author sets it up to be a story about two people who have been pining for each other for decades, then turns it into a story about how excited they are to be able to f*** all of the time. There is an absolutely bizarre scene where a raped girl comes to them for help, but it lasts about a page and then she's out of the picture with no resolution. I don't know what the point of that was - it couldn't even be disguised as an attempt to give the not-even-one-dimensional characters some development. It was just totally irrelevant and weird. If I wasn't compelled to finish books that I've started, I would have dropped this one early. I'm glad it was so short. Ladies, if you want to read one of the "Naughty Nooners," there are much better choices out there than this one.

I don't expect much for stuff that's "free". And you definitely get what you pay for with this one.

Let's start with the characters, it was like reading about my parents. Eww. Than, the situations were completely unbelievable. And the wording during the sex was just awful and embarrassing. If your going with proper anatomy, stick with it, but if your going to use slang, USE SLANG.

I do not recommend this, at ALL!

More About the Author

Ann Jacobs is a sucker for lusty Alpha heroes and happy endings. Erotic romance, to her, is the perfect combination of sex, sensuality, deep emotional involvement and lifelong commitment--the elusive fantasy women often dream about but seldom achieve.

First published in 1996, Jacobs has sold nearly a hundred books and novellas. She is currently nominated for Romantic Times' 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in erotic romance, as well as having had books nominated by RT reviewers for best erotic romance. Her books have earned awards including the Passionate Plume, the Desert Rose, and More Than Magic She has been a double finalist in separate categories of the EPPIES and From the Heart RWA Chapter's contest. Four of her books have been translated and sold in several European countries.

A CPA and former hospital financial manager, Jacobs now writes full-time, with the help of Mr. Blue, the family cat who sometimes likes to perch on the back of her desk chair and lend his sage advice. He sometimes even contributes a few random letters when he decides he wants to try out the keyboard. (Most of the time Blue just curls up, hides his eyes with his paws...and sleeps!)

She loves to hear from readers, and to put faces with names at signings and conventions.
