As a travel agent, I try to visit as many hotels as I can. Of course it is impossible to visit every hotel, but with this video it's the next best thing to being there. With a brochure all you see is a picture of the property and a maybe one of the room. With this video you will see so much more including views from the balcony, restaurants, swimming pools, fitness center, the beach and more. There's even views of the bathroom, which I think says a lot for a room. You'll also find out details such as if the hotel has a "kids' club", if the room is air conditioned and what types of restaurants are offered (buffet, fine dining etc) . I also like the summary at the end which provides a list of the hotel features. After viewing this video, you will feel more confident about the hotel you are selecting. I highly recommend this video and the other 5 Hotel Mexico videos to all travel agents and to anyone planning a vacation to Cancun & the Riviera Maya.

I do not own this item, but wanted to point out that it was released in 1999 and is a bit outdated. I live in Playa del Carmen. Two of the hotels listed, El Faro and Panchos, are no longer around. Club Bananas is now the Real Playa del Carmen Hotel. And the Blue Parrot now has three separate hotels. Many, and probably all, of the hotels have had renovations since 1999. Also, in case it matters, Capital La Fitte and Maroma are about 10 miles north of Playa del Carmen.
