This is sort of an underground book series. She is as good or better than Anne Rice and very descriptive - sort of Dangerous Liaisons, Hammer Films, and Anne Rice combined. She even shows a Balzac influence. I've only read this book, but plan to buy ALL of her books. They are VERY entertaining and surprisingly well written.

This was my first purchase of a Chelsea Quinn Yarbro book and I was immediately hooked. I've since bought most of her other offerings and enjoyed them all.
