Worth a try
I bought this little book 30 years ago and, though I do not often read it, I treasure it. Thompson was a very troubled alcoholic I believe and though his prose can be extremely difficult to unravel, it is worth a try. Hound Of Heaven
The poem by Francis Thompson is a wonderful, thoughtful little book that I read in the past and wanted to obtain a copy for future review. My diffulty was not seeing the book before I received it. I found the copy you sent which said on it that it cost $l.00 was in terrible condition physically. The cost to me was ten times the original. If I wanted to give the Hound...

I bought this little book 30 years ago and, though I do not often read it, I treasure it. Thompson was a very troubled alcoholic I believe and though his prose can be extremely difficult to unravel, it is worth a try. He has some amazing insights into Jesus' determined and pursuing love for us: the faster we run from him, the faster he runs after us. It is an honest account of conversion.
