4.0 out of 5 stars Good. Not as good as Destroy What Destroys You.
Okay, here is the deal: this album is great fast punk rock. If you are a AAA fan and you absolutely loved Destroy What Destorys You( possibly one of the best ska/punk cds ever) and you liked All Fall Down then you are in for a bit of a suprise. On this cd the horn section is notably absent. There are one or two tracks that contain a horn part but the rest of the cd is...

1.0 out of 5 stars not a ska album
When I bought this cd I thought i would get to here the catchy happy horns I got to here on all fall down but there was no horns except for on two songs and on the second song they only played for a couple seconds. I read the other reviews for this album and cant understand how it got good ratings this album .... They are not turning punk they are getting hardcore and...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good. Not as good as Destroy What Destroys You., April 23, 2000

There are one or two tracks that contain a horn part but the rest of the cd is straight punk with a few skaish riffs. Personally, I felt that the mixture of fast punk music and horns was what made AAA so great. However, this cd is still really awesome if you judge it only as a punk cd. If I hadn't heard AAA's old stuff I would think this is awesome, but it isnt nearly as good as the other two cds. Of course this is the opinion of someone who loves ska and punk. If you hate ska than you will think this cd is AAA's best yet. Politicaly, AAA hasnt changed much. Whether you agree or disagree with their views the politics are important because they are the driving force behind the music. And for those of you who arent AAA fans whats your problem? This band is awesome. Check out any of their 3cds. Peace

Yeah? So what if this album is almost absent of ska and horns? Jdog, you couldn't be more wrong about this CD. This CD slams into you headfirst from start to finish. I love all their cd's,and this cd makes their catalog even more delicious. If you like just straight-ahead punk rock, just pick this up already.

5.0 out of 5 stars great political inspired punkrock ska, August 1, 2000
This review is from: 24 Hour Roadside Resistance (Audio CD)
this band with each cd seems to be pulling away from the ska influence and leaning more toward the punk. they are a much better punk band than ska band, so they are bettering there music. i was suprized to see that this album was better than their other cds. its fast punk rock, with some ska, and snotty pisted-off vocals. very political and worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great AAA Cd, September 4, 2000
This review is from: 24 Hour Roadside Resistance (Audio CD)
Against All Authority consistantly puts out great political ska/punk albums. This album may actually be their best, their lyrics are top notch on 24 Hour Road Side Resistance, and the music is great, even though it is different than on previous albums. Everyone else has already mentioned that there are virtually no horns on this album except for on a few songs, so the music is a lot more punkish than on their previous two albums. If you like All Fall Down or Destroy What Destroys You I'm sure you'll like his album too.

This is the best band I've ever heard, I've not yet heard there other CD's, but this is fast and hard punk with a horn in a few spots and an extreamly strong and clear message...

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Ska!, August 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 24 Hour Roadside Resistance (Audio CD)
As people have stated in their reviews this album is far less ska than other previous albums, only two of the songs actually have brass instruments. Having said that it is better for this. All Fall Down is good but is not in this albums league. The lyrics in this album are extremely good and you get a lovely sleeve with the album with good pictures. Danny Lore has a great voice and musically this album is excellent. Some bands just rely on good lyrics but against all authority incorporate both to great effect. I would definitely recommend that people buy this album but not if you are a big trendy because you won't like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Miami Punk Rock, June 4, 2000

I could easily nominate this CD as AAA's best yet. I haven't heard "Destroy What Destroys You," but I'm sure it's very good. The thing I like about this CD is the absense of the horns. I like AAA with horns, but it almost ruins the band. "All Fall Down" is a great CD. On some of the songs the horns just don't fit in. On this CD the horns are in a couple song, and actually the horns fit the songs better on this CD. This is a must have CD for any hardcore punk fan.
