I haven't gone over every track here, but it looks like they are mostly, if not all, already on The 99 Most Essential Pieces of Classical Music, also from X5, with twice the run-time and twice the tracks.

I'm the type of person that just puts my entire library on shuffle when I listen to it. Everything from Silverstein to Lil Wayne comes up, and I've been looking for a good deal on some classical music for awhile to diversify my library even more! This hits the spot perfectly...all those great classical pieces you've heard throughout your life are found in this collection. Great to listen to at night when you're relaxing, you'll realize you subconsciously know these great classics from you hearing them sometime in your life--whether in a movie or on TV. But everything's here, and everything's good. $4.00 is a deal for this.

I've always said that there are only two kinds of music, good and bad. This collection is definitely in the good category. I've only listen to a third of it and I'm already delighted. This mix is better than any you'll encounter listening to your local PBS radio station.

Thanks for putting together this collection. How about some more recession bargains like this?

It's a great truncated collection of classical pieces. My only gripe is that it is not 5 hours of music, only 4.8. They could have added a track or two more to cover the remaining 12 minutes. I do wish I would have bought The 99 Most Essential Pieces of Classical Music for only $1 more, though.

Other than the version of Palchelbel's Canon in D Major - I love this album...of course, I'm not overly familiar with classical music, so for me, it's just a wonderful way to fill the background with music. :) I have no complaints and the authors of these pieces suddenly showed up, I haven't noticed that before, just who played them. So, that's nice to have for reference.

5 hours of great music makes the work day go by a lot smoother.

Good variety and fine performances.

This is a fantastic collection of classical music! If you aren't a hardcore classical music fan, but appreciate the genre, you get the "hits" on this album. I was lucky enough to get all songs for $5 during a black friday sale. If you pay twice that price, it's still worth it. Wonderful selections that even an amateur such as myself would recognize immediately. Hook up your library!

What a terrific album! It plays in the background as I work on the computer, and I find myself just listening ... drinking in the beautiful and familiar tunes once again. The variety of composers is superb, the choice of tunes is excellent, and the orchestras and vocalists are top notch. This was probably the best $5 purchase I've made in a long time. Whoever chose the pieces for this album did a remarkable job. It's five hours of pure enjoyment.

This is definitely worth the money. Many of the tracks will be recognized by people who aren't classical music fans. It was a really enjoyable afternoon at work listening to this album in the background. This would be an appreciated gift as well.
