Brutal F'n album!,

This is definitely Mortician's best album. Mortician is incredibly brutal and they are very creative in that they use drum machines and horror movie samples. The best song on this is of course "House by the Cemetary" which is also the best Mortician song ever. Mortician is my 2nd favorite death metal band behind Obituary. The bottom line is if you consider yourself a metalhead, of any kinds, you have to buy this or you might as well start considering yourself a poseur.

A lot of people seem to have major conflicts with Mortician but I think they are one of the more "fun" death metal bands on the market today. Sure, the lyrics are cobbled together with various well known horror movie images and the the riffs don't shiver with that gothenburger melodic shine but the band is an example of pure "crunch and burn" death metal the "way it once was".
The chunky riffs and horror movie lyrics fit a traditional death metal mold with simple, yet stunningly aggressive riffs creating the chaos around it. I personally love my death metal such as Nunslaughter and Flesheater so this fits perfectly in-between bands like this on my collection. This CD is heavy, armed with one of the most violent voices in death metal and fun as watching a good 80's Slasher flick. Pick it up...

Mortician holds their title as being probably the hardest, heaviest death F###ing metal band to ever spawn from hell, but alot of people will pass this off as pointless, stressful noise. You really have to have an open ear (and a strong one at that!)To hear the music. Even the most die hard, satanic death metal, spawn frome fire sadist could easliy be crushed by morticians noise. This is a great album, but damnit is is hard to listen to. 1 of 10 of you will like it. I love it.

Mortician is probably one of the heaviest hitting bands that Ill ever hear. If you love fast drum machines and heavy guitar riffs with dark growling vocals, this and all their other CDs are the one... There are only 2 guys playing the heaviest GoreMetal I have ever heard. Their intros and lyrics are fun and amusing and the music can definetly release some anger!!!

Mortician just played the march metal meltdown in asbury park, NJ. They were no doubt the best band at the convention .Not only did they pack the place, their brutal lyrics and isane playing kept the place in a frenzy the whole time they were on.Zombie surpassed hacked up, and house only did the same for zombie . Every time they come out with new stuff its more brutal and chaotic than before. I'd definately recomend anything by them and cant wait for their new releases.

Those of you want to hear one moron whacking out a few power chords, another moron chucking a bass guitar onto some livestock from a great height and a family of chimpanzees playing with some pots and pans are well advised to waste their money on this junk. I would say that this is an embarassment to death metal, but death metal a type of music and I'm a little dubious as to whether or not this qualifies. I'm all for deep gurgly vocals but this guy just sounds like he's recorded his own farts after a night in a curry house. And putting clips of horror movies in their songs is supposed to be scary? Laughably, if not just downright cringably cheesy is more accurate. Don't get me wrong, I like fast and heavy but man, its gotta be good music! I don't even think this is particularly heavy. It has no intensity and is so poorly played that it can't leave you with the effect of being heavy. Simply detuning your guitar ridicularly low creates a wall of fuzz, not a heavy impacting sound. If you want some decent death metal then check out Immolation, Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Angelcorpse, Morbid Angel, Death, Entombed. Of for some heavy music generally Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Satyricon, Burzum, Children Of Bodom. Even Six Feet Under are better than this pack of goons.

This album is a bloody good time. I bring it to all my high school dances and convince the DJ to give it a spin. The kiddies go Krazy.

First of all let me tell every one that mortician is a band that plays the most unforgiven and most horrofic type of horror/grind with deathmetal vocals that i've ever heard and it still gives me the chills. I just cant deny that powerfull effect that this band had on me and still does in every way...So, if you love your music unholy and dark? Then get mortician's " house by the cemetary" and you won't be letdown.
