My children and I were first introduced to the "construction ahead" series with this video -- rented initially from our local library and then purchased so other kids in town would have a chance, too. It features outstanding footage of all steps in the construction of a house, including lumber harvesting and of course the series's trademark: blasting. My children and I were delighted all 743 times we watched it. It appealed from age 2 to age 7 and counting ...

You'll certainly get your money's worth from this whole series! Our kids are mesmerized by the real equipment, trucks and workers, especially our boys. Fred Levine does a great job of not talking down to kids and not being too goofy.

Great video! Maybe the best of the Little Hardhats series. I bought this for my boy when he was 2 1/2 and we've watched this together countless times over the past 3 years or so. He has a short attention span, but he always watches this all the way through. We like the host (George), especially. Highly reoommended and well worth the price. In fact, we like love all the Little Hardhat videos except for "Ships and Harbors" and "Road Construction Ahead". On the downside, it's a bit dated (late 80's maybe?). Still, they can't be beat.

My 2 and 3 year old kids absolutely love it! It appears to be a little old but the kids don't seem to care much.
