Customer Reviews

This planner is easy to love, especially for college students.

And I can feel like I'm helping the environment in a small way since it's all recycled paper.
Pooja A.
It's just a little inconvenience in an otherwise great planner!

Love this planner! I'm a very busy grad student in a PhD program, and this is perfect for my needs. I used the 2011-2012 version this past year, and already have my new one all set up for classes starting in August. I feel like my whole life is in this planner, and I truly don't think I'd do nearly as well staying on top of my coursework, assistantship, and practicum without it. It is well-organized and laid out, so it makes it easy for me to stay organized with my classes, meetings, and assignments, and it's a perfect size and weight so that I can take it with me wherever I go.

This will be the second year I've used this calendar. I use it at work. I'm in a technical field and it has a cool combination of techie-looking graphics and retro fonts.

There's plenty of room each day for my appointments and short notes. I like the fact that it's recycled. I look forward to the "quote of the week," and I actually use some of the reference pages that are included (metric conversion, for example). Last year's calendar held up extremely well - no creases, tears, etc. despite some abuse on my part.

I'm actively looking for other House of Doolittle products just because I've been happy with this one. No, they didn't pay me to write this - I just really like this thing!

I looked through a bunch of academic planners on Amazon before I ended up choosing the first one I saw. This is a perfect, no-frills planner that has all that I need for my college classes. I decided I didn't need a planner with pretty designs or unnecessary features but just a good, basic one with enough space for each day - which is exactly what this is. The solid black "leatherette" cover isn't as soul-crushingly dull as I thought it would be. It seems "professional" and durable enough, and it makes me feel more productive.

The best part is that the paper is from 100% post-consumer recycled material and printed with soy inks - AND made in the USA! The paper quality was excellent - not too thin, and allowed for smooth writing.

I'd recommend this planner - if it doesn't seem pretty enough just slap some stickers on it and pretend you're back in elementary school ;)

It is ok. Smallish enough to carry around effortlessly. But not great space for writing. My biggest complaint is that there is almost no room for entries on Saturdays and Sundays. Times have changed. We are not only busy Monday to Friday.

I received the 5 X 8 inch House of Doolittle Academic Weekly Planner right on time. It has everything I was looking for - a good sized space for daily appts on a page of weekdays. What I was disappointed in, but this was not the fault of the product, was the size. I saw that it was a 5 X 8 inch when I ordered it, but didn't really give a lot of thought to how small that actually was.

I bought the planner for my desk but I'm thinking it is actually a better size to carry in my purse. It's a little smaller than my Kindle.

Great for the college student. Used it for 4 years. Light, small, versatile. Cheap enough as well, especially if you have Prime.

I could have bought a better planner that this one. The days are too small and doesn't give you enough room to write on.

While the quality and everything is great, this planner is for 2012. I bought it 2 days ago, and as it goes from august to august, I didn't consider the possibility that it might not be for 2013. Why is this even still on the market? Unfortunatly I started writing in it, so I probably can't return it. I would recomend it, but make sure you get the 2013 edition.
