The shipping on these is prohibitive, but I eat these and MIRACLE NOODLES all the time.

How to prepare:
1. Open bag
2. Hold nose
3. Rinse well with hot water
4. Dry roast in a big pan.

I add Laughing Cow cheese, a can of roasted diced tomatoes, fresh basil, sauteed or roasted vegetables for a great big bowl of low calorie pasta.

A whole bag of these noodles has only 40 calories.

See [...] for lots of recipes.

They are, admittedly, an acquired taste.

For me, Shirataki noodles was never about amazing taste or unbelievable texture. It's basically a pasta look alike that has only 40 calories in the pack. And those 40 cals totally fill you up. For a dieter, this is really a great find.

Yes, it comes in a really stinky fluid (which washes off). Yes, it's much more expensive than regular pasta. Yes, the texture is slightly off. But, this is probably as close as you can get to eating guilt free pasta.

I've been using these packs on the Dukan Diet (lost 20 lbs so far!) and Shirataki is a lifesaver. Not perfect...but definitely hits the spot when you crave pasta.

I'm on a low-carb diet, and was THRILLED to discover these noodles. I'm a carb-addict, and LOVE pasta, so I was sad when my doctor insisted I give up carbs. I read the Amazon reviews, and because they were so mixed, I went to my local Asian food market, and picked up a couple of bags of the Fetuccici style Shirataki noodles for $1.25 each. Do they have a smell when you open the bag? YES. Can you rinse it away? YES. So, who cares about the smell. First batch I cooked in a little water, then strained and added pasta sauce. YUM. Second batch I just fixed, I rinsed and strained, then just put in the microwave with cheesy pasta sauce for 1 minute, and YUM!!!! The noodles really don't taste anyway, so you're tasting the sauce. I also found these noodles served at a new restaurant in Mission Valley as an Asian dish, and OMG, it was SOOOO good fixed with stir fry vegetables and a spicy sauce. I honestly recommend you TRY these noodles and see for yourself. Perhaps the other style of noodles (ie: spaggetti, angel hair, etc) are not as good, but the Fetuccini style was terrific. I hate to give away my secret, but if you go to an asian food market, you'll find them much cheaper.

I made a three cheese mac and cheese recipe with these noodles and made sure I rinsed them real well and dried them to get the fishy smell off of them. After that I added the cheeses and cooked mixing it all together. I enjoyed it so much. A much lower point option that gets my comfort food in guilt free. I will order these again soon!!!

I can't tell you how much I love these Noodles! I baked them with sausage, cheese and tomato sauce, you can view the recipe video on my youtube page (lowcarb360). Make sure you rinse them really well before cooking them. Jay

I first purchased fettucine at the grocery store and liked them so much I wanted to try another noodle shape. This is the only vendor (very good)who offers a different shape. This is a superior gluten free pasta. I can't wait to experiment some more, but this pasta is highly reccommened.

Shirataki noodles are okay, but the noodles with Tofu are terrible. It's not so much a flavor thing as a texture hang-up. Be aware that these are not really a substitute for regular wheat pasta.
