This book includes a large number of fine detailed color photos of stitched homes and gardens as well as stitched garden and yard accessories. For all the MANY projects in the book, complete lists of stitches and threads are included. The book also includes graphic stitch instruction, primarily based on needlepoint techniques. This book is well suited for the beginner through advanced. Well organized, motivating and a great value, this book makes me want to get out linen and threads and stitch away!

This book will inspire you to try new stitches and to design your own house and garden sampler. The "learn to" stitch diagrams are great. I do wish at least one of Mary Jenkins' samplers was presented as a detailed chart for creating a complete practice piece.
