Too Much Reality for a Reality Show...,

This review is from: Mad House (Hardy Boys Graphic Novels: Undercover Brothers, No. 3) (Paperback)
"Mad House" is the third installment in the latest reincarnation of the Hardy Boys, a staple of adventure detective fiction for several generations of American grade school boys. This series is published in graphic novel format, with exciting art work and new storylines. This story opens with a brisk action sequence that pays sly tribute to another icon of grade school boy fiction. In the actual story, Frank and Joe are assigned by American Teens Against Crime (ATAC) to go undercover on the set of a reality show where contestants keep getting hurt. Frank and Joe will attempt to protect the teenage contestants from a series of nearly fatal accidents that aren't accidents at all, and from a clever villain with a surprising motive. "Mad House" is a rather exotic storyline for our high school heroes, but it's all in good fun and good suspense. It is highly recommended to fans of the Hardy Boys graphic novels. |
