4.0 out of 5 stars Great debut album!!
Over the years, a number of stage, movie and TV celebrities have added singing to their business cards, sometimes with disastrous results.

Tony Danza not only is a fine actor, but as this debut CD attests, he can sing too. He is surrounded by some of the best studio talent Hollywood has to offer, and Artie Butler's charts are a knockout. Check out the opening track,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Valiant try. He really needs to loosen up.
I appreciate Danza's first effort at recording. I just wish he didn't take himself too seriously. Most crooners wait for their fourth or fifth album to include children vocals, but not ol' Tony. Just imagine the kid from "Bless the Beasts and the Children" from The Carpenters, and you begin to cringe. Not one, but two kid vocal songs. Good luck with the talk show, Tony...

Tony Danza not only is a fine actor, but as this debut CD attests, he can sing too. He is surrounded by some of the best studio talent Hollywood has to offer, and Artie Butler's charts are a knockout. Check out the opening track, "That's All," which is normally sung in ballad tempo, but Tony and Artie kick it up a few notches here.

A special added attraction was the voice of his daughter Emily on two of the songs - "Little Child" and "The House I Live In."

I hope that Mr. Danza has tremendous success with this CD...let's have an encore!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tony Makes A Big Splash, December 29, 2004
This review is from: House I Live in (Audio CD)
But not as big as the one I made. This is an excellent CD but there's no "Monster Rain" epic like on Lil' Jimmy Norton's CD. Some of the arrangements are bloated much like I am. Still I would take it on long boat trips or fishing expeditions.

This is a GREAT CD. He has a beautiful voice! The quality of Tony Danza's singing voice was a little surprising. I knew he could sing and dance, he is so talented. I'm surprised this is his first CD he should have made many and I hope he does. I'm so happy I got to see him on TV when he was talking about his CD and sang "That's All".
I went out to buy it the next day. I hope he continues making music. PS He sings with his 9year old daughter and you can hear the LOVE in his voice when he talks to her.

I've always loved Tony Danza . I was delighted when I found out he sang and had a CD out. I hope he has more CD's out soon. I am glad I found this one and would buy it again. I also enjoyed that his daughter sang with him on 2 of the songs.

I watched Who's The Boss sitcom and loved it. I never knew how very talented Tony Danza was and is. This CD was sweet and I really loved the combo of him with his daughter Emmie. Cute so very cute. I hope he does another CD he can really sing and dance and wow, play musical instruments.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm not FAT! and I loved Tony's CD, October 27, 2006
This review is from: House I Live in (Audio CD)
Think what you will, but this is a true Italian crooner, of which this world lacks. What a great voice. I can do with out the last 3 songs, but I think I got a good deal, seven songs worth listening to. It's classic and there's nothing wrong with that. If you want Sinatra, then that's what you need to listen to. Tony isn't Frank. He's his own man and a very talanted one at that. His orchestra is awesome. I wasn't disappointed.

I heard exerpts from this CD on a radio station and was pleasantly surprised at Tony Danza's talent. He ranks right up there with Frank Sinatra. I just love the music from the swing era and Tony Danza brings it back to life with perfection. You won't believe his voice! It is beautiful. What talent!! And his 9 year old daughter joins him for a touching duet. You must get this CD!
