Dope, dope , dope!!!!! Joey negros best compilation yet. Best in the house yet. Sitting at work listening to sets after sets of various dj's to kill time certain songs stand out in my mind or make me rewind it and play it again. this cd has about 12 of those songs on it. this cd is def worth it. almost every joint is a banger and dance worthy..peace to dave lee

Will we say enough good about the feeling a record like this can bring in your oh so mundane life ?!?!? Do we really need to explain over and over a this funk heavy jewel like this one can radically enchant your mornings and change your day? It starts out straight with a heavy but cool beat, background brass and never stops with, on the way many many treasures: diva house moments (" Soul music", "Most Precious Moments", Are You Gonna Be There") enthralling pure gold house fun ("Come Back Home"), disco like plain happy tunes ("Do you Wanna Boogie"), Motown hand clapping funk ("Put Your Hands Together"....will get you lifted, "Strong Man", what a diamond, `You can't have your cake", so fun, "I'm Paying Taxes, old stylish live funk, "I'm a good man" powerful drum driven), 80's like club dance music ("Nite Moves", "Burning Up", "Still", "Moody" with a sexy chorus, ) and even acid jazz groove ("I realized", "The Rain", "Get Over Here", "Someone to Love", "Evil Vibrations" all derriere movers). "Another Day" is another gem, cool, really cool with its female softness. "Sweet Magic" is a Brazilian smile. Now, please read on. If you need ONE reason to purchase this great piece...just listen to "Everyday" from another of Negro's endeavor's, "The Sunshine Band". It has all the pure joy a soulful tune can carry...goose bumps ensured, it is so lifting, it's the absolutely perfect piece to end this voyage. If you've decided to spoil yourself today because you feel you deserve some simple pleasure in your life then the joyfulness of this composition will see that your desires become free feeling reality !

This is the best CD set in the Defected series. Every cut in Joey Negro's CD set rocks. This CD is devoid of the "bonus beats" syndrome that mar the Masters at Work CD. When I play these CDs, I don't have to forward any tracks. I play them in their entirety. If you love SOULFUL music, get this CD set. Note to the disco-haters/house-haters: Many of the songs featured in this collection exhibit great musicianship and great vocal ability. Unless you are seriously "trapped in the closet", you might want to add some spice to your collection and check this out.
