This review is from: House Of Joy (Audio CD)
If youre looking for some good uplifting sythpop, look no further. Monolithic is one of the best in this genre. This particular album has 4 versions of House of Joy, 3 versions of Arms (a song from his first album) and a bonus track by monger. The first song is a good beat-heavy remix of House of Joy. This version doesnt have a lot of singing per se, but it will get you on your feet. Then theres the album version and the karaoke version as well as a lengthy remix. Most of these songs will appeal to clubbers or hardcore synthpop addicts. I would have liked it better if they had been in a different arrangement since it ends up being a series of the same song over and over. However, the remixes are so varied that its difficult to notice at first. And they are all very well done. I give it an A. |
