Format: Paperback
I picked up this book mainly for a research paper I was writing, but also because I found the topic of fiction on TV vs. reality IRL as interesting.

The book was kind of a dud, honestly. I walked away not really knowing how much of what was covered in the book actually related to House. It was mostly just a bunch of quotes from doctors, physicians, and heads of organizations either bashing, praising, or praising then bashing House. The topics covered (how physicians are hired, the repercussions if you screw up, the stresses of working a hundred hour week) were interesting, but the way the author covered them was just awful. His writing style was horrid. I think it was obvious he was writing this book in a hurry. & he kept referencing his other books throughout the text, which was annoying.
All in all, I give it 1.5 out of five stars. The one is for the effort put in, the .5 is for the slightly interesting information (which wouldn't be interesting at all if I weren't considering a career in medicine). But since I can only do whole numbers, I'll be nice & round up.
