Book Description

Magic. Tragedy. Mysticism. Metaphor. Joseph Rael's life story enlightens readers through his uncanny ability to discern meaning from often dramatic, often profound events. In response to a powerful vision, he now shares these experiences with non-Indian people so others can also learn to recognize when events converge to lead us down paths we were meant to take. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

From the Publisher

House of Shattering Light is an unforgettable reading experience. Rael’s story is filled with magic, tragedy, mysticism, metaphor and he ties it all together with his uncanny ability to make sense of how all the seemingly random events connect and converge to lead us on the path we were meant to take. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

This book is not a physics text. It is the highest level

work on Native American religion I have ever seen. It would

also be of interest to linguists as it presents words from

the Tiwa language which uses verbs and not nouns.

But the interesting part is the actual experiences of

a man who is a healer and ceremonial dancer and peace

worker. It is well written amd presented in a personal

style.

The book is much better than this review.

This is a beautiful book that somehow lifted me to a different perspective. The whole time I was reading it, I felt as if the air around me shimmered with diffuse light. It is interesting to read about life in Joseph Rael's culture, fascinating to learn about the perspective of different Native American languages, hopeful to learn of Joseph's dream and continuing work for all of us, and transfixing to experience the effect his writing had upon my heart.

I recommend this book for all who are not afraid to expand their view of life and their world.

Joseph Rael is one of the most interesting people you'll read about. This is basically his life story, and how he acquired the teachings to complement his natural gifts. The discussion of the Tiwa language is brilliant. Be one of the fortunate to read about this amazing man.

In this book Joseph shares from us major events from his life. You see 'House of shattering light' is a sacred description of the slices of light, the flashing into and out of physical perception, that we are all undergoing in every luminescent moment. Joseph is able to convey his experiences while growing up which tie him back to an ancient Pueblo culture. In this book he also shares a number of sacred words and phrases from the Tiwa language which help to transport you to new dimensions of awareness and realization. Joseph is a rich human being and it may take many generations before the awesome nature of what he has shared is realized by the larger planetary culture. Highly recommended.

You should also read his other books especially Being and Vibration, Sound: Native Teachings and Visionary Art of Joseph Rael, and Ceremonies of the Living Spirit.

This book should be required reading for all souls who visit planet earth. I have bought so many of copies of this book to give away to friends who are interested in healing, it has become part of my purpose in life to share this work.

If Carlos Castaneda captured your curiosity in the mysteries of shamanism, then you will enjoy reading the writings of a real, live Native American man who has walked the walked. He is a human being. His tribal and personal family history is fascinating. Although this book is small, it expands with knowledge of a people, yet sounds of unique individual perspective. It is a gift.

I sense this book was brought forth by others begging him to share his knowledge, rather than inspired by a his desire for worldly fame.

What is astonishing about this author's gift is his point of view.

His mother and father come from two distinctly different tribes. Through this experience, he is able to blend together a tread of reason that relates to the world. Having won numerous prizes for his work to bring peace, there is deep, resonate meaning in his words. Listen.

The vision of this book is remarkable especially when viewed in the light of string theory. So much of the philosophy of the Pueblo people from whom Joseph Rael sprang seems to be confirmed by modern physics. A must read for the serious seeker.
