This review is from: FOB and The House of Sleeping Beauties (Paperback)
I read FOB for a Theater History class. It was written and premiered in 1979. It may have been awesome then, but I was only moderately impressed. The play is about immigrants from China. One character has immigrant parents but was born in America, one immigrated as a child but is now an adult, and the last is "Fresh Off the Boat." The central theme is assimilation vs holding onto your culture. |
