5.0 out of 5 stars Oh yeah
This compilation of two disk sets with Jay-J doing it on one CD and the great Miguel Migs hitting it with the other. Great jamming house grooves from start to finish without skipping a beat. Turn off the lights and turn on the lava lamps. Put on your gucci sunglasses and put this CD in.. You'll be set all night.

1.0 out of 5 stars being a DJ must be very difficult
I'm an English teacher who loves house music. But what do I know about making a house track? That's what this disc left me wondering as I tried to determine why I disliked all but four songs. Within these four there were either great beats or rich vocals or themes that evoked nostalgia for another time and place (Sweet Sonora). Otherwise, I was pulling faces as if I'd...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best New House CD in Many Years, April 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: In the House (Audio CD)
I can't describe how unbelievable both of these CD's make me feel and I have been a house promoter and fan for over 10 years. It has the latin flavor, the vocal edits and the perfect energy to play this at any time. After just returning from the WMC in Miami, this is the exact sound that every club and house DJ will be playing around the world in 2003.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hate to give these djs only 4 stars, January 26, 2005
This review is from: In the House (Audio CD)
I have had this set since it was first released, and I still listen to both cds, however I can only give them both 4 stars. I do this because they leave me a little bit let down. I've been to see Miguel spin about 10 times, and have been in total bliss each time. These discs, while bringing out some excellent tracks ("diamond life" kicks, as do "City People" and "all I need"... wow), have an over-all flavor of a recent Cream Anthems mix combined with Hed Kandi. Both of which I love and play a lot, but I just wanted more originality from these guys. That being said, I would buy this set again in a heart beat, and think it's well worth the money. Good quality music, just not groundbreaking or niche-making.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have!!!, September 21, 2007
This review is from: In the House (Audio CD)
"Leave it to Defected to incite energy out of Migs and Jay-J. This is a movin' collection. The mixes are well selected, mixed, and effected - definitely a dancer's delight. Mig's set more closely mimicks his actual dancefloor gigs (good energy with just enough bump and OH! those double baselines). This opposed to the fluffier side of SF glamour house he's sometimes given/forced to sling at at chic DJ bars (the same feel as his last two major releases on Naked Music). Even the lapses in overt energy intended to cool out the party people are admirably thought-out. Incidentally, the production values are really (really cool pans, filtering, etc.), which makes for a good headphone vibe, as well. I don't know if this is where our Moulton/Naked brothers are headed, but I sure dig it. Bottomline: This is as good a representation of West Coast House (whatever that means, exactly) flavor as the world now knows."

Great two disk set. Not as hot as Jay-J reflections but worthy of a purchase. Best tracks (in my opinion) are No, No, No, The best part, and I think I.

I like the Cd, but it didn't kick me, you know what i mean?, is very good, but not excellent, and when we are going to talk about these Dj, i was waiting more from them and from Defected Record.
I was expecting more, a lot more polish sounds, it more deep house than house, and that's the main that why i'm desapointed.
But don't get me wrong it's a good Cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars True House, March 24, 2003
By A Customer

Defected scores again. It seems their one of the very limited lables releasing good down home house. This cd is like the rest of their releases, you won't find that anoying high energy cookie cutter tracks for people who can't dance here. Enjoy!!
