4.0 out of 5 stars Paris Hilton Song
I really really enjoyed the movie. I wasn't expecting an oscar winning movie, unlike you haters out there, but I was entertained and thats what matters. For the future readers who are dying to know the name of the song that Paris Hilto strips to, its called AUTOMATIC by Brothers Conti. They're this new duo so it might be kind of hard to find their stuff, their album...

3.0 out of 5 stars Its not half bad though the movie sucked
I loved the first eight tracks you know with my chemical romance, disturbed, bloodsimple, etc but after that the last 4 to me shouldn't have even been on the cd. I know there are alot of other songs that they could have decided because one minute you have the first couple of songs with great sounds and powerful words etc etc but than the next your wondering where does...

4.0 out of 5 stars Another Winner for Ottman, May 16, 2005

I personally enjoyed this soundtrack greatly. I love John Ottman's style and manipulation of instruments to get the specific effect he is looking for. His use of choral voices, celesta, and organ tie the score together very well. I have not seen the movie and don't really have any desire to see it, but when I heard Ottman was going to be scoring it, I counted down the days until the release. This is a great soundtrack to listen to because it comes off sounding like a modern Bernard Herman score from the Hitchcock movies. I'm not saying it is exactly like a Herman score, but if you like that kind of feel, this score is full of modernized versions of the same characteristics. I hope I've been of some help, and if you get the soundtrack, enjoy!!!

I say if you should buy it for the majority of the great songs but if your the type that should like an entire cd don't buy it.

I really really like this movie as it thrills me with its shocking scenes. Unlike haters out there, I like its soundtracks too especially Spitfire by The Prodigy.. i think it's really suits the movie's scene.. Got nothing to say, it's a great movie, great soundtrack even they didn't expect any Oscars to win...

1.0 out of 5 stars House of crap, May 18, 2005
This review is from: House of Wax (Audio CD)
If you want a soundtrack thats worth listening to and paying for, please pick up the soundtrack to "Alone In the Dark." Manson is the only thing on the house of wax soundtrack of any worth..
Alone In The Dark has bands that put this soundtrack to shame..Dont waste your money on the House of crap/wax...

3.0 out of 5 stars A decent soundtrack for an okay movie, August 6, 2006
By
This review is from: House of Wax (Audio CD)
I was quite surprised with this soundtrack. When you have a below average movie, you generally expect a below average soundtrack. I mean, I only watch 'House of Wax' to see Chad Michael Murray running around. So when I got this soundtrack from a friend I had very low expectations, but I was pleasently surprised.

While the soundtrack is not one of the greatest I've ever heard, it has a good flow which makes it an easy listen. There are no 'bad songs' or slow points that really make you want to skip a track. It's mixed well with the stand out songs (including Prodigy's "Spitfire" & Joy Division's "New Dawn Fades") placed in what seems certain intervals throught the album, helping to keep the listeners interest.

So, while it's not a great soundtrack, it is actually pretty decent. I'd recommend giving it a listen.

As you know this movie is a scary one, this movie supposed to put some unexpected scary effect in it. Every track in it is unique, no matter how you play it. What I feel is very tense, scary and of course, great. This is quite a good soundtrack as you guys listen to it, you must feel tense, mystery and scary effect which will feel maybe shaking. So, it is recommended to get this effective and awesome CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very effective soundtrack, May 22, 2005
This is yet another well rounded addition to the John Ottman collection. His abbility to capture the atmosphere of the moment on this soundtrack is amazing! There is nothing farmiliar about this one because it is new and unique in the way it is put together and conducted. The eerie tracks are what really makes this soundtrack. "Paris Get's it", and "Curiosity Kills" are two of the many effective tracks on this cd. Buy it and see for yourself!

5.0 out of 5 stars "scary" movies cant scare me, May 21, 2005
This review is from: House of Wax (Audio CD)
If you liked the music in the movie you will love the soundtrack, its not soft slow music on this CD though, try listening to the music samples before you buy this CD because it may not be waht you expected. The actual movie was also great, but I want a producer to make a movie that can actually scare me, lol. If you liked the movie, get the cd :)
