Great for the whole family!,

We listen to this (and Winnie the Pooh) all the time in the car. Everyone loves it, from the 3-year-old to the parents. Milne's subtle humor is still enjoyable after the 50th listening, and Jim Broadbent's voices perfectly suit the characters. I highly recommend this audio CD. Sometimes an actor reading the work can add so much to a story (as opposed to mom or dad reading aloud, which we also enjoy), and this is one of those times. Broadbent's Eeyore is unforgettable...

We really enjoyed this version of House at Pooh Corner. Having been "disneyfied" for so long, it took a while to get used to Jim Broadbent's Pooh being in a deep voice, but that soon passed. Milne's story still holds up after all this time and brought back pleasant memories of my youth.

The CDs are in good quality and the recording is wonderful. The packaging is very old and worn, though, and is actually broken and very sharp in some places. For now I can't let my son handle it himself because he could cut himself on it; I'm going to have to buy a new case to put the CDs in.
