Every 1st grader in AZ will be given this book
The Governor, Janet Napolitano, arranged a deal with private industry in order to give a copy of this book to every 1st grader in AZ public schools. This should speak for itself about the quality of the book.

Spanish is Not grammatically correct!
I decided to buy this book after reading all the reviews but once I got it I was so disappointed about the Spanish translation that I am sending it back. I am a native spanish speaking and I was looking for bilingual books to read to my 15m son. This is not what I want for him. I want him to speak a proper spanish and this book's spanish is not perfect. Looks like they...

I decided to buy this book after reading all the reviews but once I got it I was so disappointed about the Spanish translation that I am sending it back. I am a native spanish speaking and I was looking for bilingual books to read to my 15m son. This is not what I want for him. I want him to speak a proper spanish and this book's spanish is not perfect. Looks like they were more concerned with a literal translation rather than the meaning . Big disappointment. Otherwise a nice book, with beautiful illustrations.

This book is lyrical and delicious. The watercolors are vibrant and gorgeous. This is a must buy, along with two other books, Drum, Chavi, Drum! by Cuban author, Mayra L. Dole, and Trinos Choice, by Chicano author, Diane Gonzales Bertrand.
