I wrote this book to give people a practical, hands on guide for feeding a raw diet to cats. Our holistic veterinarian encouraged me to write it and reviewed its content because she wanted a guide to give her clients more help. While there were already a few good books for feeding a raw diet to dogs, she felt that cat lovers needed some guidance too. I've fed two cats and two dogs a diet based on raw meat, bones, and vegetables since early 2000, and I'm convinced that it's the most healthful way to feed our companion animals. All four of our rescue animals are happy and thriving. But getting started is a challenge, since it's contrary to most common current thinking about cat and dog nutrition.
