I had to carefully bend the board holder arms outward because they are shaped to hold a board with legs that run at a 90 degree angle to those arms, and mine do not. Since the arms of my holder are no longer shaped as intended, the rubber covering has already worn off one of the arms. Also the screws that come with the holder are too short to work well in dry wall with anchors, so you will need to have longer screws at the ready if you are attaching the holder to dry wall. However, it is now very secure and does the job.

My wife and I were looking for an iron holder so we didn't have to place the iron on top of our built-in (not recessed) ironing board.

We weren't sure what we were looking for, we just knew we wanted something that would hold our iron. One day while on a business trip I saw this iron holder in the closet of the hotel I was staying. I'm sure many of you have seen this same product, they are in almost every hotel these days.

So I then searched for this iron holder and found it here on Amazon.com. The item arrived in a timely fashion and looked just like what we had ordered. It came with instructions and the parts to install it on the wall, including a diagram. It was easy to install, is very secure, which is important as you slide the iron in and out, and if you are going to hang your ironing board on it as well - this is even more important. It has worked with every standard iron we have had (2) and is simple in design, you just slide the iron in from the top, so therefore easy to use on a day-to-day basis. The only drawback is the place for the cord is cumbersome to use and winding up the cord into a small bundle will take some practice and the cord doesn't always stay put. This is a relatively small issue for me, but if you are an organization freak it might drive you nuts.

This product is so-so. Not the greatest, but it can do the job. It felt flimsy and was not easy to install. I ended up not using it. One thing to keep in mind if you do want to get this product -- be sure that your ironing board does not automatically open if hung up on the wall. After finally installing this product I found that my ironing board doesn't lock in the folding position so when I hung it up on the wall the ironing board would fall open...

The product arrived used and scratched with the imprint of the previous owner's iron - I was very disappointed as I had ordered a new item from Amazon. I returned the product only to be given the same item in the same (unsealed) box. I was surprised to receive such poor customer service from Amazon.

The main hesitation I had prior to ordering the ironing-mount was the fact that it did not seem to accommodate all irons. Unfortunately turns out to be true - I was hoping to use it with my new iron but it did not fit at all - the newer designed irons are far too big for it. I had to use it with my very old iron instead, which I was planning on throwing out....

Overall very disappointed. If you have a small old iron and don't mind receiving a used product then this is for you.

This is hanging in our laundry room and it is fantastic. I was a little concerned b/c we have a very heavy professional iron and I wasn't sure this item would hold it. I bought it anyway and was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!!If we ever sell the house, it's going with me.

Very nice product. Easy to install and just as described. Nicely made - perfect for neatening up a laundry room.

This is just as it is advertised. It's easy to mount and does a good job. The only complaint I have is I my ironing board does not have the bar straight across so it sits a little differently in the hanger.

Essential is the right word. Keeps board and iron out of the way, yet close at hand when needed.

Seems strong enough and fit the spot I wanted it in but in order for my new iron to fit in it we had to file off a little of the tabs that hold the iron in place. It seems new irons are wider than old ones. It would be helpful if the holders had a way to be adjustable.
