5.0 out of 5 stars Finally
I spent ages trying to find a ironing board cover for my mini-ironing board. I have a 42 inch ironing board so the standard covers are useless to me. I even bought a regular board as a solution but it is too bulky for my apartment, or rather the space where I do my ironing.

I ordered this to cover the corresponding board to conserve space and not have a full size ironing board around. The board does the job but I found that I had to ditch the little pocket on the cover by taking some scissors to it because it just got in the way. They also didn't waste any fabric making this thing. By that I mean the velcro used to keep it tight will barely...

I spent ages trying to find a ironing board cover for my mini-ironing board. I have a 42 inch ironing board so the standard covers are useless to me. I even bought a regular board as a solution but it is too bulky for my apartment, or rather the space where I do my ironing.

The cover is standard fare. It appears to be a teflon type material. The picture of the board on Amazon has the colour as blue but the actual colour is more grayish. The front part of the board has the standard slip over and the back has two velcro attachments which pulls the cover snugly. There is also a storage pocket which hangs over to the left back side of the board.

I started out giving the cover 4 stars but I upgraded to 5. I am just too happy that I don't have to throw out my favourite board. Plus, it doesn't really have any negative points.

On behalf of all the frustrated mini-ironing board owners out there. Thank you Amazon. :>

I ordered this to cover the corresponding board to conserve space and not have a full size ironing board around. The board does the job but I found that I had to ditch the little pocket on the cover by taking some scissors to it because it just got in the way. They also didn't waste any fabric making this thing. By that I mean the velcro used to keep it tight will barely stretch enough to get a good adhesion of the two sides. Again I turned to my own devices to put some safety pins in place to keep it tight and on the board. This is a must have for this board but it should just be sold with it and have been cheaper.

This is a total piece of junk. The door won't close with it on. Not only that it is impossible to stabilize so it swings back and forth when you iron.

I read some of these reviews that complined about the over-the-door ironing board, not the cover. I have one of these ironing boards (mine works fine) but the cover was getting very old. Was just glad to find one the exact same size. This works fine for me. It was a little snug and they could have maybe made the velcro straps a little longer, but overall it's exactly as described and has stayed on nicely after getting it put on. The side pocket is a little useless in my opinion because the board is meant to be stored upright, but I'll probably do like another person said and just cut it off.

Couldn't be happier with how this little ironing board mat turned out. We searched high and low in stores to find one and couldn't so I finally ordered online. Everything works great and shipping was quick too!!. If I need one I'll buy again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally!, October 27, 2011

I spent a while looking for a replacement iron board cover for my over the door ironing board. It fits perfect and the color is much nicer than in this photo. I could see how the pocket might be useful for sticking spray or something else. I decided to purchase this along with fasteners to keep it on the board. I'm not sure this cover would stay put on its own so I highly recommend getting the fasteners to go with the cover.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother!, July 12, 2011
This review is from: Household Essentials 2011 Over-The-Door Ironing Board Cover, Blue Silicone (Kitchen)
I got this over-the-door ironing board thinking to save some space. It turned out to be a nightmare! the hooks over the door were the wrong size, so if you live in a NY apartment, don't even try. Once it was on, the board tends to lower down as you iron, it hits against the door, so the painting is damaged now. It's cheap ok, but not worth at all.

If you have a narrow, pointed ironing board, this might fit. I had to return it because it did not fit my ironing board.

5.0 out of 5 stars over the dooor ironing board cover--fits hide away ironing board, January 4, 2011

I do a lot of ironing. When I bought my house 3 years ago the was a great little wall hanging ironing board that folded up into the wall. I assumed that when I ironed my way through the cover, I would just go to one of the home supply stores and get a replacement cover-----wrong!!!! They would only sell the whole ironing board and the part that is built into the wall, when I just needed a cover. Why wouldn't they realize that eventually everyone would need a cover. The ones in the discount type stores were too big for my board. I went everywhere, I called everywhere, I asked everyone. NO luck. I got on Amazon, and there it was and at a great price! I ordered, it came like a day and a half later, it's perfect. All that wasted gas and time, and I could have had it earlier right from my fingertips.

This is a good cover for my ironing board. I have a hard time finding them and this worked out great. A little hard to put on because it is such a tight fit.
