Having installed another Hinge-It towel rack in my home a number of years ago, I can say that the chrome-finish model I just put up is not designed well. The four pieces that form the "backbone" fit together poorly, allowing a ridiculous amount of flex. I used electrical tape inside the joints for a snug fit, which greatly reduced the problem.

Please note that the instructions are unclear, showing three different ways to install but numbering them all as one series of steps.

I was hesitant on buying this when I saw some of the reviews, but I went ahead and made the purchase. I think it's exactly what is advertised and works just great. It looks just like the picture and does just what it states. So I'm happy. If I had to be picky, I would say I'm not sure it's worth $40. Maybe more like $30. But I'm happy.

To the previous reviewer that thought it was rickety...you probably didn't install it correctly. I could see how that would be possible if adjustments weren't made to the connections. But once I adjusted and tightened everything up...it's pretty sturdy.

First, I had to rig it to make it work with my door hinges, so that was kind of disappointing but, hey, maybe my door is not standard. (Who knows?!) But, at the end of the day, I took it all down because it's just really cheap looking. It doesn't look like my other brushed nickel fixtures and even though it's metal, it actually looks more like cheap plastic.

So, I can't recommend it if you care about how things look in your home.

It did work as far as the way the product was supposed to work, once I was able to make it work on my door. But I ended up throwing it away.

This is the answer to bathroom with little wall space. A little pricey, but effective and easy to install.

This rack works great for us. Our shower is directly behind the bathroom door and the wall towel rack is around the corner in the bath tub area. So this rack that attaches to the hinges is right in front of the shower when we step out. We were able to attach it to all 3 hinges on the door and it remains very sturdy. I'd highly recommend it, but plan on help putting it together and attaching it on the hinges.

We returned this towel hanger because it was not solid or stable. After putting it together, we found it to be very wobbly in the middle, especially where the bars fit in to each other.

Great idea - lousy design. Brackets do not line up to hinges correctly, very unsturdy - Spent alot of time trying to alter it enough to use it, but could not. ended up throwing it away, never using it.

I bought this to save space in our small home. It may be a little wobbly when assembling, but it's fine once it is together. It holds all the weight of the towels just fine. My husband usually hates gadgets like this and he thought it was great! I LOVE not having wet towels hung from the door knobs any more!

It's made pretty cheap, had some difficulty installing it cus I couldn't get it just right. The brackets bend easily and a couple of the screwholes were stripped out. I had other screws that were slightly larger and got them to work. Over time of opening and closing the door this likes to pull the pin out of the top hinge and become wobbly. Overall though it works for my small bathroom and 2 years later I still use it so it's not all bad and I have yet to find a better solution so overall I do like it.
