4.0 out of 5 stars Really solid, but kinder pricey
The Pop up hamper is much better than the ones u can get from the Dollar store... It's larger and much more durable. However it is also 7 times as expensive, only $8 if we want to talk about the actual price though.

Really works great for College students and small households, what I do is I just sit it next to my bureau and throw all the laundries in there...

3.0 out of 5 stars Handy, Cute, but didn't last too long
This hamper looks great, the mesh is nice because it allows for air circulation and keeps things from getting funky while they wait to be washed. The collapse feature is handy for stowing it away in the closet.

However, mine fell apart after 6 months. Granted, I was hard on it. I carry it up and down 5 flights of stairs to get to my laundry room...

Bottom Line: It is a wonderful hamper if you don't need to subject it to much abuse.

Buy it if you don't care too much about $8. I think they can last at least two or three years if not abused.

5.0 out of 5 stars Convenient & Inexpensive, September 27, 2006

I love this hamper. Even when it is full of laundry, it does not tip over, the handles make it easy for me to carry downstairs to the laundry room, it callapses if I don't need it and stores easily, it's inexpensive and has free shipping. Plus, it doesn't take up lots of space, and vents so wet towels don't mold other clothes in the hamper. It's perfect for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on a hamper.

I bought both of my boys this hamper when I redecorated their rooms. It goes with anything, and the mesh allows the clothes to breathe between laundry days. I wish it was a bit larger in capacity, but 9 and 11 year old boys seem to get their clothes in there, and when it is full to the top, then they know it's time to bring their hampers to the laundry room. Also, we plan to bring one with us on vacations now, because it is easy to collapse and pack!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for most, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Household Essentials Pop-Up Hamper, Black (Kitchen)
This hamper is very nice, good for most people. It seems to be well made, large, and holds two loads. My problem was that the metal frame and full of clothes made it too heavy for me to carry. I'm retired with a 5'4" frame. I had a hard time carrying it to the washateria. It would be great for men or women who are stronger than me but I had to replace this one with a smaller one without a metal frame..

I bought this hamper to bring to school with me and it broke the first time I used it. The handle ripped right off. Its good for around the house I guess but if you need to pick it up and walk with it not so much..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for laundry sorting, January 11, 2007

We purchased these to sort our laundry. They work great, saves time. The only thing that was off, was the shipping, each one came in a separate box instead of putting all 5 in one and saving packaging and shipping costs.........

Bought this for our son. He said he can get all of his towels and sheets down to the laundry in one of these bags and not have to make several trips through his apartment building. He said that it is holding up well.

One of the handles broke off after only about five times carrying my clothes. It was pretty full, but for the price of this hamper I expected better quality.
