This book offers great information. It is essential for all homeowners to have a detail home inventory. I have heard from far too many people that did not receive their full claim after a fire. Having detail documentation, especially from a third party, is your best protection and helps to insure that you can recovery quickly from a loss after a fire, a theft, or a storm.

This book is an invaluable resource for anyone who is called upon for the impossible task of remembering everything that once was in the house. The preface puts it all in perspective: "This book is for anyone stocking, restocking or taking stock of their homes." Room by room, hobby by hobby, the inventory lists detail every small to large item you might have once had, from storage caddies to toilet plungers. We highly recommend it.
