More About the Author

Rick Griffin is an author based out of Madison, Alabama. He has a dog named Apollo and once rode him bareback up the slopes of Kilimanjaro in an attempt to lasso the sun. For three days and nights they climbed, eating nothing but snow and ice, but the sun evaded them, staying ever out of reach. Then Rick snatched an eagle out of the air and rode it to the moon. From there, his rope reached the sun, but he was unable to pull it back down to earth. So he leaped off the moon's surface, riding the orbit counter the earth's for six month until they met in the middle. Rick pulled the sun home, and met Apollo at his front door. However, Apollo still refused to play fetch with anything larger than his head.

I follow his website every week. i really like his work. It is even better now that it is in books that I can buy. I really enjoy it, but it isn't for everyone, take a look at Housepetscomic.com and see if you like his work or not. I did so I bought it.

I absolutely enjoy reading Rick's webcomic and the 'dead tree' format makes reading an entire arc so much faster. Also, the add ons he has are a delight! The included fan-fic, All the King's Men, is worthy of its own arc and a huge draw. Would highly recommend to any "Housepets" reader.

This cute and funny series continues! This edition had fewer extras than the preceding two books, but is still pretty darn awesome. Now if only the hidden text from the website was also included...

Housepets! is a great comic, it does not matter if you are into anthro art or not this is a comic for everyone. and I really have to support Rick Griffin's decision to keep the humor and language at a PG level.
